"Our group of 7 stayed at Salvos' property for 7 days. From the first day Salvo made us feel like family. He was always available to answer any questions about the house, the area, and places to have dinner or if we had any concerns.He made reservations for us to excellent family style restaurants. He lives next door and every morning and evening came over to ask if we needed anything. The property is spacious and private with many choices of rooms each with their own bathroom and lounge area decorated in a clean modern style.There is a large beautiful pool with 2 of the rooms facing the pool and lounge area. There is also a glass enclosed kitchen area. I would recommend Salvos Sunshine house to anyone that is traveling with a large group and planning to visit the Siracusa and Catania area or just wants to relax by the pool or go to local beaches."

"We were encouraged by a tour guide to book a multi-star resort hotel in the Center of Siracusa. But, our research persuaded us that a boutique hotel on the Island of Ortigia was more in line with our standards and preferences. The Algila Ortigia Charme Hotel both met and exceeded our expectations. Everything, including the Center of Siracusa was within walking distance. The morning breakfast was convenient and ample. The bar was a nice place for a nightcap and the whisky selection was excellent. Our Junior Suite was very comfortable with quiet and great air conditioning. Our only regret was that we did not have more time to enjoy the terrace and views that were connected to our room."

"This is a rustic stay in a beautiful spot that is close to the water on several sides but also an easy drive into Siracusa. The hospitality is over the top as you begin to feel like part of the family. Indeed, we were invited to their upstairs home for a homemade seafood dinner! The green thumb of the owners is on display every way you turn with a great variety of pottings and plantings. We walked to the sea and to a pizza restaurant on the shore. A grocery store is a quick drive. Mother and daughter communicated very well to ensure all our needs were met. Parking was in the lane right outside the house and was safe in this rural environment."

Even if you drive, you're looking at a significant drive into town to find a normal restaurant or bar. There are small markets near the facility, but they also require a car to reach them. I was completely amazed by the staff, however. They helped me every single moment of my stay, including how to secure pizzas on a couple nights to prevent myself from starving!"

"It was quite an amazing and unique.Beautiful large accodation with lots of areas to either meet or have quite time. The pool a definate bonus which the children loved as did we. Abbi who manages and takes care of is lovely and works so hard to keep all areas clean and tidy.Had a wonderful time with my daughter and two grand sons.The pizza place down the road on the water is fantastic. Little and made by elderly gent. Small but obviously popular.Many Thanks. We only just got home."
