"Really missed having a microwave, would have been nice even if only in the lobby. Room was clean. Towels were nice. I thought the bed was too firm, Hubby thought it was too soft. Other than that, I liked the shower, bathroom and the quiet of the hotel. Great Italian restaurant downstairs. Portofino, great food, awesome staff!"

"Great view of the harbour from my room’s patio. A few eating spots within a short walking distance of the motel, otherwise you’ll need fo drive. My room was basically a small apartment with 2 bedrooms and 3 beds (there’s a TV in each bedroom plus the living room). Perfect for accommodating mom, dad and 3-4 children. Kitchen had fridge, microwave and stove. Rooms don’t appear to have air conditioning, The wifi was just adequate, if the motel fills up don’t expect to stream any movies. Some of the furniture such as the sofa was showing its age and looked rather worn. Quite a few stains in the carpet likely from people not taking off their shoes after walking on the beach. Bed had nice firm mattress and a heating pad."

"Everything was good, not excellent. Our rooms parking space was the only one not right by our room. Kitchen was ok, but only had a large chef knife. A paring knife or serrated knife would have been better for my fruit and veggies and baguette. Random ants in the kitchen (not by food) Breaker turned off when using the toaster. Refrigerator froze my fruit and my yougurt:o(. Bed softer than we like. Hubby loved the deep bath tub. Did not see the Hot Tub if there was one. WE were there for 4 nights. Housekeepers were nice. Innkeeper worked short hours. All and all, it served our needs but when we decided to stay 2 extra days in Napier area, we found a different hotel. "

"Beautiful modern rooms in a handy location that is close to Marine Parade, as well as the supermarkets and shops. Dogs are allowed, but my only gripe is that the pet surcharge is excessive. It's $150 per stay and other places charge $50. It really ought to be a bond that you get back if there are no issues, as it adds a lot to the total cost."

"Very clean and well maintained property! Shower was unbelievable! One of the best showers I’ve had great water pressure. Staff took a while to greet at the front, but other than that, they were very helpful. Would definitely stay again."

"Staff/host was friendly to talk to. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Good amenities and great location. Loved that we could bring our pet and had no hassles at all. Quiet location too. Only 5 mins drive to Napier city, very close to walks and beach. "
