Windows on the Water "W.O.W" An ocean front oasis!

    Our renovated home is named "Windows on the Water" because of the spectacular wall of windows facing a pristine, white sandy beach and Captiva Pass. Relax inside or outside on your very own beach, and enjoy views of Cayo Costa Island, sailboats and wildlife including pelicans, manatees and more!

    3 bedrooms, 3 full baths. WOW offers two master suites, each with a king bed and ensuite full bathroom. The third bedroom has 2 low-rise bunk beds, perfect for young children and teens. The third full bathroom with a bathtub/shower is just off the bunk room.

    Windows on the Water is located on the northern tip of the island called Rum Point. We are on the beach and also adjacent to 4 acres of private, undeveloped land which makes our home feel peaceful and secluded.

    We provide beach chairs and lounges, outdoor and indoor games. The house is outfitted with stainless steel appliances, Starlink wifi, 4 wall-mounted flat screen televisions, and a full size washer & dryer. There is a propane grill outside for your use.

    An Island Club guest membership is included with your booking. This offers your entire group free bicycle, paddle board, and kayak use, as well as access to 2 swimming pools.

    North Captiva island is perfect for you if you're looking for a one of a kind experience. This is a special island that can be accessed only by boat or plane. Ferries to and from the island run throughout the day. North Captiva has no cars, only sandy trails and golf carts! There are public beaches. However with your own private beach you probably won't feel the need to leave the house!

    There are two restaurants, a convenience store, guided fishing and boating tours, boat rentals, grocery delivery service, and more.

    Renting a beachfront home offers you so much more than an amazing view, you will have the extra privacy and convenience of having your very own beach. You can unplug (or unplug your kids!), enjoy the beach, and take a walk on one of the nature trails in the Federal Wildlife Preserve.

    A golf cart is not included with this rental, however you can easily book one.

    The house limit is 8 people, including infants. Small dogs allowed, but please not on the beds.

The WOW house is just that! WOW!! The house is beautiful with the most amazing views of the water, is fully stocked and Wendy was the best host who answered all questions with super fast response time!! We can’t wait until our next stay at the WOW house!!

Incredible trip! The pictures are what you get (but in person is better). I doubt there’s many better places to stay on North captiva. Private beach, can see sunrise and sunset from the house (amazing sunset view). We would recommend to anyone. It was perfect for our family of 7 (with one infant). We will look forward to staying at WOW again.

We absolutely loved our stay at W.O.W. The home is comfortable and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was just amazing and well-equipped. The bathrooms were spotless with great water pressure. Being right on the beach provided endless enjoyment as we watched the water, the boats, and the birds!

Wonderful location and house

My family has stayed at w.o.w before, and each time we have had a great experience. The view from the dining room is awesome (we saw manatees, dolphins, birds, etc.) and we love being able to just walk out the door and be on the beach. We will definitely be back again.

AMAZING STAY!!

As soon as we arrived to the island it felt amazing the house was a 5 minute drive from the ferry dock and when we got to the house it was beautiful. The views were incredible, the house was in perfect conditions and was equipped with everything necessary.

We loved WOW, the views are spectacular. It is on a wonderful bit of the island. Amazing wildlife, we could not have enjoyed it more. Wendy is an amazing host and very contactable.

Beautiful property within feet of the ocean. Perfect house with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The views are impeccable. Private beach. Kitchen is very very well stocked with every possible thing you could need.

Awesome vacation home!!

My family and I had a wonderful time at WOW. The views are amazing from the dining room and living room. We saw manatees and dolphins and even had a dolphin come into the shallows to get a fish! The house was very clean and looked just like pictures, and had tons of board games and water toys. We will definitely be back next year.

Manatee's Aplenty!!

Just loved this property it was perfect for my family. My spot was in the small chair in front of one of the 7 big windows and enjoyed seeing so many manatees and dolphins plus sting rays. The property had a lot of items that you don't think of like spices for cooking. Would recommend this property because the view is awesome.

The WOW home is exactly what the pictures show it to be. You cannot ask for a better view or better proximity to the beach. Literally steps to the beach. My family and another (4 adults and 2 12-year-olds) had plenty of space. 2 bedrooms have a king bed and an attached bathroom with shower (very updated and clean), and the kids’ room has the 2 bunk beds and an adorable bathroom in the hallway. The views are just incredible from the living room windows. We saw dolphins one morning, manatees at the dock, and LOTS of wildlife, such as turtles, different types of birds, crabs, and lizards. We loved exploring the island on the golf carts! The Island Club pool was large and super fun for the kids. They also offered delicious food and drinks. The home had every kitchen item you would need to cook a meal, including a variety of spices and seasonings. There was also a game cabinet! Everything in the home felt and looked updated and fresh. The beach has PLENTY of shells to choose from! We brought some beautiful shells home. I would suggest bringing water shoes, especially for young kids, as the shells can be a little sharp as you’re walking down into the water. Wendy was an incredible host. She was so responsive and helpful and answered all of our questions with detail, and she gave us every bit of information we needed to get to the island. WOW’s location cannot be beat. The views are amazing. It looks like you’re floating on top of the water!!

Great Experience!

Beautiful house within steps of the ocean. Private beach. Views from the living and dining areas are terrific. We saw stunning sunsets and lots of wildlife. Well appointed and clean house well stocked with kitchen and household needs and supplies. In advance of our arrival, the owner provided very helpful detailed information and advice regarding the house, the ferry, the island, etc.

New Years on Captiva

gorgeous location and very clean property. It really is in a beautiful location that is steps from the beach with a very few other people. The walks were amazing. The property was very clean and well appointed. The biggest issue is simply the hurricane damage that was still terrible. There were heaps of garbage and destroyed property all along the roads and even associated with the property itself. It definitely took away from the experience, but was very understandable.

Slice of heaven!

This was by far our most favorite family vacation to date! We enjoyed the slower, quiet days on the island, starting with having our coffee while looking out through the windows at the ocean. My kids loved to look for shells, as you can walk both ways on their beach. They played ping pong daily down on their outdoor porch area under the home, and my daughter loved reading her book on the hammock. The home had everything we needed, with the view being our most favorite! Wendy was wonderful to work with. We hope to be back again next year!

Spectacular

W.O.W. is the perfect description for this house! I felt my breath catch in my throat as I stepped in the door! The beauty through the windows gives you a sense of never leaving the outdoors. Watching the sunset and the moon rise, dolphins gracefully going by as you eat lunch, the birds fishing for breakfast as you sip coffee, the quiet privacy. It's just spectacular! The house was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Book your reservations today, there are no regrets.

What a spot!

This is probably the perfect cottage on the island for up to 8 just as long as a few of the 8 are kiddos. I can not say enough, freshly renovated, HUGE kitchen, big bedrooms, on the water is an under statement! The whole front of the house is windows that are literally a few feet from the waters edge. On the quite side of the island, this is North Captiva so it takes a minute to figure out the logistics to get to the island but once you are there it is sooo worth it. We were there for spring break week and it was not busy at all! I 100% recommend! We will be back for sure!

Loooooooved our trip!

The WOW house was amazing! It had everything we needed for our family of four, was accurately described and presented in the listing, clean, and tastefully decorated. The waterfront location was priceless! We saw breathtaking sunsets, dolphins frolicking in the morning, lots of pelicans, herons, you name it!! Even our overactive boys stopped and looked and took it in. One small challenge (which others may see as a benefit) was lots of supplies in the closets, so our younger son’s clothes mostly stayed in the suitcase (room with the two bunk beds). The hostess was VERY organized, had spot on directions, and very prompt with responding. She even anticipated a problem with a golf cart because of our late arrival and we were able to resolve! Thank you WOW house and Wendy!!

The Windows on the Water house was an amazing place for us to unplug from the world for a week with our son, daughter-in-law, and 2 grandsons! Wendy was a great host. She made sure we had all the info we needed to make the most of our trip. The view from the house was even better than the pictures. We saw manatees and dolphins, and even Snook from the living and dining room windows. Sunsets were spectacular, and we saw the Milky Way at night. The couch was super cozy and a great place for all of us to unwind at the end of each day and watch movies or just spend time together. The Starlink worked great. We brought our Roku and accessed all our TV streaming apps. My grandsons loved the bunkroom. The beds in both master suites were very comfortable. The kitchen had every gadget you could need to make meals. The grill came in handy to make burgers and hot dogs. There were plenty of Adirondack chairs for everyone to just sit on the beach with their toes in the water. My husband caught Snook beach each night before sunset right from the beach. Water close to the shore was clear enough most days to find all kinds of pretty little shells. My favorite beach on the island was Sunset Beach. There’s a sandbar you can get to that’s not too far from the shore. I found at least 30 sand dollars snorkeling there. And the water between Sunset and Bartlett beach had urchin beds where you could see Sheepshead and other fish. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful beach house Wendy!
