"This is an affordable location if you want to be able to walk and enjoy Carpinteria. I felt self walking at night from town back to the hotel. I would say the hotel is nothing special but I found my room spacious and clean. It was nice that there was plenty of parking. "

"Lovely place in a lovely town!! Well decorated, well stocked kitchen, perfect location within walking distance of everything. We loved our stay. I had to call management for one thing and they immediately answered and dealt with it at that moment, which is phenomenal. I only took one star off for cleanliness bc the provided fans were absolutely scummy so we didn’t use them. Made it pretty hot to sleep at night. Otherwise, great place. Of note: I would not take children to this beach. There is a large natural tar pit right next to it and the tar is in the sand on the beach. Not a big deal for us bc we just walked and sat in the sun but kids would get covered in the stuff. The rental company provided the stuff to clean it off which was awesome. "

"The home is perfectly located close to downtown (7 min walk), a block from the beach, and the salt marsh reserve (good walking trails). The home itself is an older condo, but clearly remondeled and taken care of. No ac, but if you run the ceiling fans and have the windows open it cools nicely. I noticed additional fans in closets for hotter months (my stay was in october), but i didn’t need them. The balcony does not have a beach view, but over looks the parking lot, and other apartments. Not a deal breaker because if you wan the beach, it’s right outside the front of the complex. I stayed alone as i was there for a wedding, but there is a second bedroom with bunk beds, so a family or small group could make it work. A pool and hot tub open 10a to 10p, as well as on site laundry (coin operated, or you can pay with an app). One of the nicest things is that the complex is a quiet community. I really didn’t hear much of any noise after quiet hours (10pm), which made for a very peaceful stay. Don’t come here expecting to party, go downtown for that haha. All together a fun little sleepy beach town. I will be visiting again.Also the bed was very comfy!"
