Carrizozo is a town in Lincoln County, New Mexico and is the county seat with a population of 996 at the 2010 census. Founded in 1899, the town provided the main railroad access for Lincoln County, and the town experienced significant population growth in the early decades of the 1900s. However, with declining relevance of the railroad, the population of the town has gradually declined. The town is located at the intersection of U.S. Route 54 and U.S. Route 380.

"Perfect for us. Spacious 3 BR 2 bath. Over looking the Downs Stables. We had complete privacy enjoying the hot tub off the front porch deck. The home is beautiful and so comfortable. We appreciate the ease of booking and check out. Will definitely book this home next trip. "

"When we arrived, we noticed the outside needed some work, but when we went inside, we are very pleased with how nice the place was. The bedrooms were nice, the kitchen was well appointed, and the living room/den was very comfortable.This was a very nice place to stay."

"We had a great stay at the cabin! It was very clean and in a convenient location, only about 5 minutes from Walmart, yet still tucked away from the main road, so it was nice and quiet in the woods. The cabin was well-stocked with everything we needed, from kitchen supplies to bathroom and shower essentials.The only downside was that the bed sheets on one of the beds seemed used, as they had hair on them (not sure if from pets or people). Thankfully, there was a stack of clean sheets provided, so...

"Finally able to check out Ruidoso, NM. Heard so much about this area. Living in Texas, but from Wisconsin missed the forest atmosphere. Downtown felt like being in the Wisconsin Dells. A great taste of home. Shopkeepers so friendly and was very happy to be able to bring our dog along. The cabin was perfect for our escape from the city. Loved the hot tub and afternoon reading on the deck outside.Supper was steak,shrimp and baked potato on the grill...perfect! Thank you for a great getaway."
