Location location is within walking distance of the airport property is located in an average area we felt safe walking around however not quite as nice as Boca Grande but okay. The building itself is very nice beautiful Lobby, Check in staff was very nice. Please note this is a large building and individual units are owned by different owners and then rented out. Our actual room was very nice everything was clean nice balcony area we had the view of the ocean. Small kitchen area with refrigerator a small dining counter. It had basic plates bowls cups Etc. Great value and accessible price however note.... THE ONLY DOWNSIDE FOR ME WAS NO HOT WATER TO ME THAT WAS A DEAL BREAKER. If you are okay with a cold shower go ahead and book. For me I will book in this building with a different owner and I would make sure my room has hot water that's just me. Enjoy Cartagena is a lot of fun!!!!

Everything was clean and working properly. The room, appliances and electronics worked great only complaint would be is or not hot water but that can be a simple fix hopefully but I’m use to bathing in cold water so it didn’t bother me. I’ll definitely be back 😉

Here’s a clear, firm review you can post: My stay at Cartagena Hotel and Residence was very disappointing. One major issue was that there was no hot water in my unit, which made the stay extremely uncomfortable. On my first night, I also experienced a serious safety concern. A stranger repeatedly knocked on my door multiple times, which made me feel unsafe and harassed while staying alone in an unfamiliar city. Because I was uncomfortable, my family came to check on me and help me feel safe while I was in Cartagena. However, the hotel would not allow them to come upstairs. This visitor policy was not clearly presented to me before my stay. If I had known that my family would not be permitted to come up to my unit—especially after I experienced a concerning situation involving someone repeatedly knocking on my door—I would have reconsidered booking this property. I understand that hotels may have security and visitor policies, but those policies should be clearly communicated before guests book. Given the lack of hot water, the safety concerns I experienced, and the way the situation was handled, I was left feeling uncomfortable and unsupported. I hope management takes guest safety, communication, and basic accommodations more seriously.
