"Lovely small palatial hotel right on Gran Via but quiet, with classic Roman and Greek busts and tapestries everywhere. Charming grand staircase next to elevator. Very good breakfast in lovely dining room. Very accommodating check in:I arrived at 11:35 and they gave me a room 3 hours early! Wonderful as I am 74 and very tired from flight from NYC! Rooms beautifully appointed with two hair dryers, one on wall in br and one on vanity table. Highlighting 9 th floor rooftop garden, exclusive use with drinks and snacks available, gorgeous views of Via and sunset and statuary in garden. A hidden gem. If raining there are palatial lounge rooms off garden rooftop. So nice for private meetings. Affordable. "
