"Location was safe, central and convenient to many attractions (doge’s palace, st marks basilica and water buses. Staff was very helpful and kind. Room was clean and as pictured."

"This was our second stay at the Palazzo Schiavoni and was every bit as fantastic as the first time. The location is perfect. Close enough to St Mark's Square yet not too close to be too busy. It's a very short walk to the water bus stop to get over to Murano which we love. Lots of fantastic restaurants very close by. The hotel is extremely clean and well maintained and the welcome and service is amazing. We had a 2 bed suite. The size was good, bathroom and kitchen were spotless and of very high standards. We will definitely return one day."

"Room had air conditioning which was the highlight of our stay. The bathroom was not connected to the room and was very hot and uncomfortable to use. This is a church which is also used as a hotel. Elevator was not serviced since 2008 and had a very quick closing time - beware. Also, can get locked in bathroom."

"This was a great location but we were in a separate building from the main building with the lobby which was a bit inconvenient. Also we had some issues and were required to pay before arriving in order to hold our reservation which was not what we booked. So a bit of stress with that. Overall though a good experience."
