"The property was the best we’ve ever stayed at. It was very handy for the town but in a very quiet spot. The owner was very friendly and informative. We had a very relaxing break and would highly recommend. "

"We try and come to Otterburn once a year as we love the area. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with tableware amd cutlery. The veds were comfy abd the hot tub was amazing. The only thing that frustrated us was the induction hob, we have never used one before so took a lot of getting used to despite reading the instructions several times.will definitely be returning and will have hopefully mastered the use of an induction hob by then!"

"Fabulous house in a lovely location, it was perfect for long walks . The house is very roomy with fab decor. Close to a lovely restaurant we we popped in gor drinks and food a few times over the weekend. Will definitely return in the sumner months."

"Perfect house, very quiet and clean. Owner was very nice and helpful, less than 10 min drive to shopping and attractions. Castle is big tourist area, less than 10 min away. Def would stay here again if back in Scotland "

"A beautiful cottage in a secluded area with lovely views of surrounding hills and forest. The photos dont do it justice, it is much bigger in reality. It is very well equipped, and beds very comfortable with spotless linen. Even in cold weather, the cottage has more than enough radiators and a very efficient log burner to keep you warm. "Lovely cosy cottage with gorgeous views. Owner was really friendly checking we’d settled in ok. Great location (as long as you have car) to get to nearby towns and attractions. Shame there wasn’t a pub within walking distance (as the road was too risky to walk on at night), however, the food and staff at the local pub in Yetholm (approx 1.5mile) were lovely and welcoming and food great! The only criticism I’d have of the cottage is that the bathroom and some decor could do with updating, however...

"Stayed over for a night whilst travelling back from a trip to Scotland. A great B & B which I can’t recommend highly enough. From meeting Susan on arrival where she showed off our room. Whilst cosy, everything was pristine! A comfy bed and great breakfast the next morning topped off a great stay. Not forgetting the pub attached……where we had our evening meal and probably the best Beef and Ale pie we’ve ever had with great personal service too. We’d highly recommend the Rose & Thistle and look forwards to staying again when next in the area."

" Nice little stopover on our drive from Speyside to London. Room above the hotel which was clean and had everything required. Food/drink in the bar well priced and tasty and busy place it was too. Service excellent from all staff-no issues at all although busy little town so finding a parking place was the tricky part!!"

"We had a wonderful stay and the evening meal was excellent - highly recommended and very good value. Breakfast was also excellent. We enjoyed sitting in the lounge and bar and service was friendly and very good, the staff are all great and very welcoming. The grounds are pretty and the room was very good size and bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and can highly recommend a stay here."
