Traditional bed and breakfast on the first floor of a family home. The breakfasts were delicious and the owner welcoming. She provided information about things to do in the area and great restaurants information. The place was clean and well tended.
It was our second time staying at this wonderful bed & breakfast. Tara puts on a nutritious and delicious breakfast. Plenty of space and very clean. We will definitely return again.
We were here for the Bon Ton Roulet bicycle tour. The property was right on the course so it was convenient for us. The house was quite spacious inside, so I could do a full recovery routine on the floor without being squeezed between a bed and wall like in most hotels. The house was charmingly decorated and clean. Very peaceful area with stunning sunrises and sunsets. There is also a lovely patio area to relax on outside. The lake is an easy walk just a couple blocks away. Tara was very responsive to our questions. Breakfast was delicious, and she accommodated my gluten-free dietary restriction. As we were without a car during this second half of the bicycle tour, Tara and Brian graciously drove us to Union Springs where the rest of our group was camping so we could have dinner. So thankful for their kindness!! Highly recommend staying here!
Host was really accommodating with arrival time and usually makes a breakfast for the guests but we had to leave really early, so they had grab and go items ready for the morning! Amazing!
We had a wonderful restful day in a cozy pleasant environment with beautiful views. Because we had to be at graduation early as one of our grandsons graduated as chiropractor Tara offered to make breakfast earlier, but we insisted we were having yogurt when she brought over an abundance of breakfast treats, beside yogurt, sandwiches, bananas, oranges, and blueberry muffins. what a delightful surprise. We would definitely recommend Tara's Bed and Breakfast. Enjoy! Paul and Ida

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
The communication prior to arrival was excellent and helpful. Yet upon arrival it is apparent that you are sharing the hosts home with them, this is not clearly stated in listing. Upon arrival we could hear loud snoring in one of the rooms marked private. There are private tags all over the space; doors, drawers, closets, bathroom mirror. We felt like we were invading someone's home. The bed was comfortable, but the furniture and decor is worn and dated. The rules on the desk state quiet hours are 10 pm to 7am, but laying in bed after 10 pm there were loud neighbors that were close by. In the middle of the night we woke to the smell of cigarette smoke, footsteps and muffled talking. There is parking but the driveway had cars and a boat taking up most of the driveway, our late arrival was a bit tricky for parking. The host did leave a front light on for the entrance. The host left us a grab and go breakfast because we were leaving early, she did open a private door as we were exiting to introduce herself. The listing should clearly state that you are staying and sharing the host's home. We felt very uncomfortable with the feeling of being watched but not knowing where and who was just the other side of a private door. This was the most uncomfortable vrbo experience I have had.
