"The rooms were old and needing updated but were very clean and comfortable . Would have been nice if the restaurant and bar would have been open for lunch . Not really a whole lot to complain about . Good value for the money."

"Solo Raymond fue la única persona amable, una señora la cual no me sé su nombre fue muy grosera con nosotros, nos habló muy golpeado y no nos explicó amablemente nada. No te hace sentir bienvenido, solo Raymond lo hace. Gracias a Dios solo nos cobraron los 150 dolares del depósito, pero escuché que te pueden cobrar 50 dólares por noche y un 18% de impuestos, la verdad no sé bien en qué casos, yo me estuve manteniendo en contacto con los de expedia para todas mis dudas. Así que aconsejo reservar cuarto sin desayuno incluido. Lo bueno del lugar es que el cuarto es amplio y que la ubicación es maravillosa. Y que el precio no es tan elevado como el de los hoteles cercanos a este (no por eso es barato) No esperen algo lujoso, es más bien algo útil. Ah, y la TV nunca funcionó, no pudimos poner música de mientras. A mi no me molesta tanto eso, pero a mi novio sí y otra cosa, el internet es muy lento."

"We had a larger king bed room….it had space but no comfortable seating after a long day. That was disappointing and a misuse of space. It should have had two cushioned/fabric accent chairs or a small sofa. Nobody wants to sit on their bed to read or watch TV before dinner or just to relax. That was unfortunate."

"Everything was great at this location! Beautiful, welcoming feeling right when you walk in the doors! Nice rooms. Spacious closet. Plenty of counter space in the bathroom. The hotel is more than just a hotel. It WAS home for a few days! AND there is a hotel bar, with live music, that I've been to many times before ever staying here! This place was such a pleasant surprise! We will stay here again, for sure! Walking distance to shops, food, entertainment the French Market. Blocks away you can hop on the streetcar to get out of the Quarter."

"I returned to Detroit after attending a conference there 20 years ago when I swore I would never return to Detroit. This time I was there for a private event. When I arrived at the Motor City, I immediately noticed that it smelled great (similar to the VDARA in Las Vegas). The casino was a non-smoking casino but had a smoking section that did not infiltrate the rest of the casino. The rooms were dated and the housekeeping wasn't that great but the food, to include the banquet food, Joe Lewis' restaurant and the Coney Dog airport food was really good. MOST IMPORTANTLY, the people of Detroit were REALLY, REALLY NICE and professional. From the airline staff at the airport, to the UBER drivers, the restaurant staff (on and off of the Motor City property), and the Motor City staff themselves were REALLY, REALLY NICE. I have travelled a lot, in and out of the country, and have never been treated so well! Because of that, I was able to overlook the not-so-appealing aspects of the trip. I had a good time. THANK YOU DETROIT!"
