"We booked this hotel at the last minute due to a large softball tournament weekend, which resulted in a room rate that was far higher than what this property would normally justify. While we understood the premium pricing due to demand, the condition of the hotel was unacceptable. The first room we were assigned smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, was dirty, and had a nightstand missing from the wall. It appeared to be an out-of-service room that was put back into use because the hotel was full. After we complained, we were moved to another room that was somewhat better, but it still had significant issues. The temperature never dropped below 73 degrees, and there were numerous gnats around the windowsill and air conditioning unit, indicating a possible leak or ongoing maintenance problem. The overall condition of the property was extremely poor. Trim pieces were falling off walls both inside and outside the hotel. The ice machines were barely functional, and the property had only one elevator for the entire hotel. The elevator was exceptionally slow and created long wait times throughout our stay. We understand paying higher rates during a busy tournament weekend, but guests should still expect clean, well-maintained accommodations. Unfortunately, this hotel did not come close to meeting those expectations, and the condition of the property was not reflective of the premium price being charged."

"When I checked in Friday the desk clerk Roger was very rude I told him i was a member and if he had any rooms on the first floor cause i had Hips problems he said know and the elevator was not working and the the only room he had available was on the third floor so me and my wife had to carry everything up the stairs which did not help my hibs pains.And Saturday breakfast was very good but Sunday’s was terrible went to eat breakfast at 8:15 am there was no coffee the only thing they had was waffles and cereal I went to ask the desk clerk Shellyif they were going to make any more breakfast and she said we don’t have any cooks on Sunday’s but she did make coffee.on Monday morning I went to get some breakfast and the same thing no eggs or sausage and links sausage they had bacon and waffles I was very disappointed then when I was checking out Monday I told Shelly the desk clerk that I might be making another reservation cause my granddaughters were playing in a softball tournament but didn’t know cause it would depend on the outcome of the game if they lost the first game we would be eliminated and that we were going back home and she said well let’s make a reservation and I said I can’t till we play if we win and continue playing late that day we would be staying. So I asked her for a business card so that I could call and make a reservation she said we don’t have any I said can you give me the direct number so I can call and make a reservations and she just started saying the "

"Decent sized room, we had the king room with pull out sofa. The hotel is a little dated, with minimal lighting in the rooms. It only had lamps and no overhead lights which made it a little dark in the room. The bathroom door would not shut. But the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Stay above the 1st floor as the indoor pool makes it humid and has a chlorine odor. The elevator is good. Breakfast was adequate with two different waffle makers, eggs and sausage and a variety of cereals. Some muffins and bread for toasting was available also. Overall, not a bad hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. Online check-in made it a breeze to get our room key and get up to the room. I will say that getting into the parking lot was a little challenging. One entrance is by the old Denny's that is closed and the road is not marked and very close to the intersection. Easy to miss. The other driveway to get into the parking lot was closed for construction of a new hotel. That's not La Quinta's fault but they could give you a little heads up when arriving. The hotel is located to tons of restaurants and attractions. There is a mall right down the road."

"The beds need updated they sink in the middle and the ac didn’t work the greatest and need up grade pillows they were to thick and they had to thick of blankets on the beds"

"If you want to stay in an original 66 motel you can’t expect it to be modern If you are looking for a authentic 66 motel it’s great"
