Lovely Home in a Fantastic Location

We were lucky to stay at Aphrodite House during our trip to Chania, and it truly made our stay special. The house is full of charm and perfectly located in the heart of the Old Town. Everything you need — supermarkets, shops, restaurants, and bars — is just around the corner, yet the neighborhood still feels peaceful and authentic. One of the highlights is the beautiful rooftop terrace — a perfect spot to relax with a morning coffee or enjoy the evening atmosphere. The kitchen is fully equipped, and with separate air conditioning units in each bedroom and in the living room, everyone can enjoy their preferred temperature — a big plus during the warm summer days. The service was also excellent. The owner was very friendly and responsive, available for questions and assistance both before and during our stay, which made everything feel smooth and welcoming. We had a fantastic stay and would happily return!

What a lovely find! Tucked away in a side alleyway in the old town, it was quite a vibrant spot because there was a bar, restaurant and bakery right outside the door. There were certainly lots of stairs so not ideal if you have mobility issues. It was perfect for our family of five. Everyone had plenty of living space. We were greeted with fresh fruit, water, juice, bowl of candy and reiki. There is a washer with a drying option, but as with most European machines, you’ll want to hang dry for full dryness :) good thing there’s a rooftop deck and it was sunny for us to put out our clothes! The location couldn’t be more idyllic for our needs. Right in Old Chania, we could walk everywhere we needed, to visit the lighthouse, for all of the dining options, and easily 8 gelato shops in a 2 block radius! Really loved this spot. One last thing to note is if you are bothered by noise, the Greek enjoy late nights of conversation, so you may hear that. We could all sleep through, but you may want some ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.
