the location and free parking were great. the hotel is across the street from the sea so if you get an "ocean" view you will have a little traffic noise. love having a balcony off the room and the little kitchen in the room was also nice to have.

Clean room except for the fact that in both rooms there were ants in the washroom. Killed about 20+ in each room, one room had flying ants. Mentioned it discretely to the front desk and they were not surprised saying this happens. They offered to apply a gel to deter them, obviously this is common for them. Overall staff are quite friendly and nice.

Overall good for what it is, however. Very family friendly, with lots of kids running around. The area is conveniently close to Chania. The breakfast is relatively good for a buffet style, and better than your basic continental. The rooms are dated and are in desperate need of a renovation. The main sticking point for me is the bathroom, it is very small, and overall not very nice. There is no shower curtain so you have to be careful of the shower head angle. Despite the bathroom being small, there also is a small kitchenette that is eating away at valuable real estate. There are 2 burners, sink, and mini fridge and some basic appliances however the burners seem kinda useless to me since there are no pots and pans. Overall good for what it is, I’d say it’s probably a 3 star hotel, I’d recommend if you get a good deal.

Overall beautiful resort, but the “luxury” rooms have a view of an empty lot, an abandoned building covered in graffiti, and the very busy street. The pools on the deck are not heated so for us were too cold to use despite warm weather. None of the other beautiful pools were heated either so no one used them. Many people sitting around it but no one could use it because it was so cold. Our bed was not comfortable at all, but the pillows were great. 😊The staff were lovely, very helpful. Airport transfers were great, on time and well organized. We did not particularly like being so far away from Chania, taxis are expensive and sometimes difficult to get when you want one. Our mistake for booking so far out!! We assumed it would be easy to get to and from town, but it really wasn’t. We ended up renting a car, but also very limited parking at the resort. We drove all over, found amazing places to visit and spend the day. The beach near the resort is not very nice at all, not really usable, very windy. The food at the resort was fantastic, dinners especially. So fresh.

Nice hotel. Nice rooms and pool area. Lovely Spa area but shame you have to book and pay for sauna. Normally are free but not a real issue. Gym looks good too but did not use. Very close to shops and restaurants. Staff were very helpful, polite and always at hand. The food in the restaurant and pool area and breakfast, also drinks were all tasty and well priced. Very lovely hotel and spa. would definately recommend and visit again

Had a great time in one lf the luxury suites for ten days. Nice view. Big and roomy patio to chill on or do yoga. The gym was well equipped. Close to a beach w surf lessons. Close to Chania w bus. Several nice restaurants in the area. Breakfast was plentiful and well prepared. Staff was helpful. All in all can definitely recommend a stay here. You don’t need to go on many excursions except for into Chania a couple of days perhaps. If there are too many waves at the beach, the life guard won’t let you swim so on those days find your way to some more calm beach.

Our second time dating at Cretan Dream and it won’t be the last as we plan on coming again in 2027. The amenities, atmosphere, and attention to detail are bar none to any accommodations we have experienced in Europe. Spyro and the front desk staff were incredible. Toula and her sweet husband anticipated our needs and made sure we were always “in the know” for meal service and events. Cretan Dream also provides several weekly experience nights including: tomahawk steaks, Cretan night with music and dancing, and a seafood feast. Bravo to Petro and his brother for an incredible establishment. Can’t wait until 2027!
