"Loved the location of this hotel and the view of the marina from my balcony. Room was a great size but didn’t like that there was not much cleaning service. We were there 4 nights and they brought fresh towels but didn’t make the bed either day. "

"My group was composed of 7 well-traveled men in their 60’s and 70’s who spent 4 nights at the house while attending a tennis tournament in nearby Ojai. To start with the good things about the house, I would cite the very good communication with the management company as well as how well laid out the house was to comfortably sleep our large group. The reason that I would give the property a four star rating and not a five star rating is that it is not quite up to the standard as shown in the photos. While the photos are not in any way inaccurate, they are very professionally done and present the house in a little bit of a better state, and more fresh than the actual reality of the house. It’s a little bit tired and could use some refreshing, although it is quite clean. And the provisioning of the house in terms of the quality of the sheets, etc is really quite basic. So the bottom line is that it’s a pretty good value for the money, especially if you want to be just across the street from the beach. But it’s not something that has a lot of nice touches or feels special in any way. "

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Good views. Space is a bit awkward though with disappointing use of rooftop deck. Could use a personal touch with thought into the functionality of the layout. Updating needed. Worked well enough for our needs and property management was responsive. "We were comfortable and had a good time. There's no door to the master bedroom so we can hear others from the kitchen at night. Good location. We saw sea lions within short walking distance."

"Overall, the location was fantastic. The house was spacious, clean, and well-prepared by the housekeeping team. We truly enjoyed the proximity to the dog beach, the seals on the bay, and the views of the marina from the roof. The beach toys and equipment were also a great touch.However, we encountered several issues that we suggested the Management Company review: - Plumbing: The upstairs water took five minutes to get hot, and the downstairs shower head only produced a mist, making it unusable for our group of seven. - Maintenance: The rooftop BBQ required deep cleaning due to grease overflow before we could use it. Additionally, the ice maker in the refrigerator was non-functional. -Climate Control: The house became uncomfortably hot at night due to the 75-degree AC restriction after 11 PM. The bedroom fans were insufficient, and outside noise prevented us from leaving windows open. - Security: The garage door lock did not work to open or close it. On our final day, the front door lock batteries died, preventing us from locking the house and delaying our departure into the rush hour. - Supplies: The kitchen lacked a functioning can opener and a standard toaster (the toaster oven was a poor substitute). Bedside clocks were also absent. None of the above though required immediate attention, neither did they ruin our fond memories made with our kids/grandkids & pets. "
