"The property was recently opened so the pool was not yet available. The staff was amazing. We walked where we wanted to go, which was great, even though it’s a little away from the main cluster of hotels. I liked that the balcony allowed us to get some fresh air in. It was quiet. My husband enjoyed the breakfast but nothing appealed to me so I ate my homemade cereal in the room. I’m not a fan of the exposed clothes hangars (no true closet), but they are increasingly common. Ok for short stays."

"Wonderful location for everything you need to do and see in Charleston. Lovely artwork tour of the hotel everyday at 5. Continental breakfast bag delivered to the room. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Late afternoon wine hour. Mid evening coffee and cookies. All nice touches. "

"The hotel was in a great location! Walking distance to shopping and sites. Parking was very convenient! Breakfast was as expected for this hotel. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly; however, they couldn’t seem to keep our reservation straight. We did change rooms. Then at 10:30 pm we had people banging on our door and trying to get in. Then what seemed 30 minutes later, the front desk personnel were callasking is there was someone in the room. We asked for a late check out at 1 pm. She front desk person said no problem. Now I get a call asking if we were staying another night. I reminded them we had a late check out. She said she would adjust the record for room cleaning. "

"Debris in my bath water. Curtains that were not ironed. Very small bathroom. Adjoining room where we could hear a woman speaking and laughing. Certainly wondered about the $499 room charge. We are Bonvoy members and exclusively book Marriott hotels. But we didn’t earn any points for our visit. This just didn’t meet their usual standards. However, the restaurant and bar were excellent, as were the wait staff."

"The breakfast was disappointing. The muffin, sausage and coconut cake were dry. The staff were great, all very friendly and helpful. The location was great. Our room was noisy, the room above us they were moving furniture or jumping up and down. The bed in our room was too high and the bed was noisy."
