The Nest, 2 Houses Next Door on Lake Norman

Welcome to The Nest on Lake Norman
The Nest is a rare space on Lake Norman consisting of 2 homes which can be rented together, giving your group a truly unique and relaxing stay. Green Heron Cottage and Egret Escape are located directly next door allowing guests to walk between and share the space. Together, The Nest sleeps 13, has 6 bedrooms, 2 full baths, 2 half baths and 2 docks. Although in a quiet cove, both private docks have deep water, great views and lots of space to hang out. There are paddleboards, life vests, wonder noodles and water lounges as well as some water toys and beach towels available to use during your stay.

Green Heron Cottage
New air conditioning installed upstairs and down for 2022 season. There are rocking chairs on the top deck, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee. A love seat and chairs on the lower porch. A table and chairs with umbrella on the pier for eating lunch while fishing and swimming. A set of lounge chairs on the dock. A large patio with string lights, dining table and picnic table. The kitchen is fully appointed with dishes, utensils, cookware and small appliances including a blender, coffee maker, toaster and crock pot. There are also some cooking basics such as common spices, flour, sugar, oil and coffee. A 36" Blackstone griddle is located on the upstairs deck, close to the kitchen. There are 3 bedrooms in the home, all are located on the lower level with the full bath. The first and second bedrooms have queen sized beds and the third is a bunk room with a full sized bed on bottom and twin up. Crib and highchair provided. There is wireless internet available as well as 3 flat screen TV's with Roku, Netflix and Disney+ service. There are also books, board games and cards. An outdoor lake shower with hot and cold water for rinsing off. The lower level also has the washer and dryer.

Egret Escape
The covered dock has a comfortable dining table, perfect for sharing a meal with family while enjoying the sunset. The kitchen, family room and full bath are located on the lower level. The kitchen is fully appointed with dishes, utensils, cookware and small appliances including a blender, coffee maker, toaster and crock pot. There are also some cooking basics such as common spices, flour, sugar, oil and coffee. A 36" Blackstone griddle is located on the downstairs patio, close to the kitchen. There are 3 bedrooms in the home, all are located upstairs as well as the living room, washer/dryer, kitchenette coffee bar and half bath. The main bedroom has a king sized bed and wardrobe closet with drawers. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed and features an lighted umbrella art installation on the ceiling. The third bedroom is a bunk room with 2 Twin XL bed, blackout blinds and a pocket door. Crib and highchair provided. There is wireless internet available as well as 4 flat screen TV's with Roku, Netflix and Disney+ service. There are also books, board games and cards.
