"The house is absolutely stunning full of antiques in keeping with the medieval era. The view through the window over the river was magnificent. All the beds had comfortable mattresses and pillows, and it was very dark and quiet and we slept well. The size of the house was perfect for our family of five. The kitchen had very good for facilities for cooking. You do need to be quite fit to stay at Mont Joie as it is at the top of the hill that you need to walk up and within the house itself, there are two long flights of stairs. "

"What a great location. Accommodation is very well appointed with everything you need. Excellent walking access to all the essential facilities in the village. Try and travel light as there is a walk to the property along an uneven path which with heavy case will be a challenge.The hospitality and welcome from Catherine is exceptional and nothing was too much trouble.A great stay! "Wonderful location and property. Beautiful pool and decking area overlooking Dordogne countryside with hot air balloons most mornings and evenings. Beatrice and Remy gave us a very warm welcome and showed us around the house when we arrived - they live just up the road so are available in case of any issues during the stay. Some lovely villages and towns within easy driving distance and Roque Gageac is a 45 min walk through the forest. Would highly recommend. "
