The gym is very dated with multiple machines not working and the property is a little run down but in such a great place with nature all around. Beach was nice for swimming and snorkelling! "The buffet breakfast was just ok. Options were a bit limited and I thought my omelette had a weird flavour I can’t describe. Not sure if it was the oil or the cheese. Whilst breakfast was included in the stay- the cost was $70 USD for two persons. I thought that was steep considering the limited options. We had drinks and dessert at the bar in the evening- and those were good. We didn’t eat anything else at the property. I thought the rooms were a bit outdated, especially the bathroom, but they were clean- and the bed was comfy. It’s definitely a business hotel because there was no real view to be had as it’s not directly on the main road- perhaps some of the higher floors facing the ocean may have had a view."

"This is a horrible place. the reviews have to made by friends and family. no windows, dirty, run down its like a shed. people played loud music all night, my husband stayed one night, and I immediately booked him in a different hotel. No way this has a 4.9 rating. My husband is covered in mosquito bites from head to toe and it was stifling hot in there!"

"I booked a two-night stay at Bayleaf Lodge for my dad while he was in Barbados to renew his visa, and the experience exceeded all expectations. The host was truly exceptional. She went above and beyond to ensure my dad was comfortable and well taken care of, especially considering his medical condition. On occasions when she was unavailable, she thoughtfully arranged for a relative to check in on him, which gave me great peace of mind. When my dad’s flight was delayed, she kindly accommodated a late checkout so he wouldn’t have to spend unnecessary hours at the airport. That level of consideration meant a lot. My dad shared that he felt completely at home during his stay. He described the apartment as cozy, comfortable, and welcoming. In his words, both the host and the accommodation were “1000/100.” I highly recommend Bayleaf Lodge to anyone looking for a place that offers not just comfort, but genuine care and hospitality.
