Reid Ridge Lodge

"The room was great, a mostly well-renovated older hotel with a rustic wood theme now. Toilet could have used an update, and sink needed a snake - drained very slowly. But our only real complaint was the service at the front counter when we arrived about 5:30pm. There was no-one at the front counter at first, just a sign saying to call 2 phone #s. So we called both before he walked out from the office, a bell might have been faster. This man took a long time trying to find our reservation, and then told us we had no reservation! Then I explained I'd called a few days earlier to confirm and was told (rudely) that if I had an Expedia confirmation # we had a room and he didn't have to look it up. Standing in the lobby I offered to read him the confirmation #... he looked on his computer again and amazingly found our reservations. No apology, no explanation, just 'cash or charge' next. Nice quiet night in the room, good a/c, and nice and clean. We didn't take advantage of the lobby breakfast in the morning (not having too much confidence in it), then the lady at the counter taking our key cards in the morning was very nice."

"This place is awesome! Very quiet and the house is beautiful. Great place to go to get away from it all. It is in a great location in that it is not far from downtown Blue Ridge and you can take Asaka Road to hiking trails."

Relaxing Getaway! Cozy Log Cabin, Hot Tub + Firepit

"It's a very nice cozy cabin, nicely decorated and great access to town between Ellijay and Blue Ridge. The hot tub worked great and was very relaxing. The floors were clean so I felt good about walking barefoot inside. It's listed as no pets allowed but there is a fairly aggressive cat that hangs out at the property. He will hang out right at the door to run in when you try to open it, climbs the window screens on the front porch. Not a mean cat but he wants to be inside and it looks like he's made it inside before. It looked like some hair on the couch and chew marks around the front door. I didn't think the throw blankets get washed regularly because they were a little dirty. I think they use the auto generated messages because I replied to a couple emails and never received a response so after that I didn't bother responding the the emails. As a former host people are excited to travel and enjoy communicating with the host."

"Nice yard for quick and easy toilet breaks for my dogs. Screened in porch for relaxing and listening to the river flow over the rocks Well stocked kitchen and plenty of blankets for cozying up in the living room Appreciate all the extras including a cabinet of games & puzzles. We used Both a/c @ heat but sunny every day. Foggy most mornings and multiple deer."
