"Our stay here was cozy, homey, inviting, and perfect for a quiet and simple outing in the Ohio/West Virginia area.My wife and I were hoping for something within drive-able distance to Huntington and Point Pleasant while staying somewhere that had a small cabin feel (that wasn't a totally remote wilderness experience) and this place is perfect. The cabin itself was comfortable, the river lovely, location perfect for our needs, a nice accessible fire pit -- but the REAL treat was the hospitality. Chris, Rebecca and Gena were positively wonderful and as friendly as can be (and the breakfasts were glorious!).Also the adorable and mildly rotund cat that lives around here is the silliest little fella I've ever met. If this site were capable of offering more than five stars, I would do so. Simply cannot recommend highly enough."

"We really enjoy coming here — this is our second time this year. I will say the place could use a good deep clean (carpets cleaned & shower curtains replaced etc.) and some basic wear-and-tear fixes. The garage didn’t seem to have been cleaned in a while; I ended up wiping down all the surfaces, including the ping pong table, because it clearly hadn’t been cleaned. I didn’t mind doing it, but I know other guests probably wouldn’t appreciate that.We made Thanksgiving dinner during our stay, and the main issue we had was with the ovens. Two out of the three really need to be replaced. Other than that, we LOVE coming here. My family had a great time with all the games and especially the ping pong!"

"The barn house was large and accommodating to our extended family who met here from several states to enjoy Thanksgiving weekend together. We were impressed with large sized cookware and serving pieces to put our many bug meals together. We had ten guests stay but had plenty of silverware and dishes to use while others were washing in the dishwasher. The tankless water heater made many showers and dishwashing no problem at all. We utilized the screen porch for our beverages and accessed them by reaching thru a passthru window and joked we were at Dairy Queen. Lots of fun. The hike to see the train tunnel carved thru stone was my personal highlight of the trip. Really beautiful. I enjoyed the cozy cotton quilts on all the beds which played into the cabin feel. The owner stopped by and brought us firewood within hours of our arrival making us feel well taken care of"
