"The hotel was clean, but the bathroom was small. The shower in our room didn't drain properly so you were standing in tray full of water as you showered. It took about 10 mins after finishing to drain away. The breakfast was OK but not really worth the £17 if you hadn't booked in advance. On the plus side the staff were friendly and helpful and we had a good sleep."

"The new part of the hotel is excellent but if you get a room in the older part of the hotel the maitinance needs improving. Bar and wedding facilities excellent. Overall the stay for 2 nights was good."

"Hotel was nice nice and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice little bonus of 10% of food and 2 for £14 on cocktails which was appreciated. A good 20/25 min walk into the town centre. We ended up getting taxis for the night and walking in the day."

"The room was clean and bed comfy. BBC tv coverage bad. Bathroom needs upgrading. Room 115. Breakfast good but chaotic - there was not enough info on ordering various items and what order to move around the various item tables. Finding staff to take order not easy. Staff were v pleasant. Reception staff excellent Didn’t use any spa facilities so can’t comment. Overall impression that the whole building needs attention. Very good position for Chesterfield."
