The outside of the hotel didn't look like much, but the rooms themselves were well maintained and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. They had free off-street parking, which was very nice.

It’s a very basic hotel room and a convenient location. It was clean, the staff is friendly and they had the average continental breakfast. Very conveniently located, close to the beach ,walking distance to Jarvis Square and the train. Nice quaint neighborhood.

Very nice staff and decent breakfast. Clean. Good value for the $. There were holes in the bottom of the bathtub that had been patched but the floor was like missing from those areas? And all of the lights are brighter than the sun in the room. Very close to the lake.

Rooms and overall property were very clean. Someone was at front desk at all times watching our cars and who was coming & going which made me feel safe. All staff were friendly, helpful, and very attentive. Rooms could use some space to hang clothes and maybe an extra chair to sit in, but otherwise comfortable & spacious. Showers need to be upgraded.

My husband and I came from NJ to see Cubs and White Sox play. This hotel was in very convenient location and reasonably priced. Room was very clean and free parking was included. Staff was super accommodating and let us check in early. Highly recommend.

i loved everything about the property and the staff was very nice and helpful. the virtual check-in was different but still easy. very walkable, about 5 min to jarvis station to get downtown or to other areas! the hotel room and common areas were very clean as well. free parking was the cherry on top!

The staff at this Super 8 over the past week were very helpful and Harry at the front desk was great and helped us with our parking needs. This was greatly appreciated! Great place to stay! Safe, easy parking, clear instructions. Rooms have easy to clean surfaces. Bathroom (esp shower) was not as thoroughly cleaned as I would have hoped... remnants of shaving in the soap area and along the edges. I just pretended it was a campground shower. Also, plenty of towels but the blankets were thin and no extras provided in the room. I am sure I could have called for some, but it was the middle of the night when I was cold so I didn't want to.

The property was small, but neat. Parking was minimal and in a VERY tight covered area. The outside of the property looked kind of shabby. The check in was strange-done via monitor and camera. It was a live person, they just weren't physically in that location. It was kind of neat that our conversation showed up on the screen as we spoke, like closed captioning. There were actual staff people at the front desk, but they were there to get things like ice buckets or more towels. They were friendly. The building was all strange angles and everything in the room was the same. There was no regular corner, everything was slanted. Overall, the stay was fine. It was quiet. And we got it for a decent price. You do pay extra for parking though..

The Super 8 by Wyndham Chicago was a convenient choice for visiting my daughter at Loyola University. Its location made getting around easy, with a train station nearby and a small convenience store across the street. The neighborhood felt fine overall, though I did see a few people who made me uneasy, as can happen in many cities. This is a simple, no-frills hotel, and my stay reflected what I paid. My room and towels were clean, the temperature was comfortable, and I slept well. The staff were cordial, if not especially warm. Breakfast is served from 6 to 9 a.m. and is basic, but I appreciated the good coffee and having a bagel or something quick to eat. The lobby is little more than a narrow passage with a service window. The elevator is slow and a bit confusing, with a vintage feel, so allow yourself a little patience. There are stairs as well. One night, the alarm sounded around midnight. I couldn’t tell what triggered it and saw no signs of an emergency. When it stopped, I checked that everything seemed all right and went back to sleep. It was unsettling, but I don’t know what caused it or whether it happens regularly. This isn’t a luxury hotel, but it was clean, practical, and well located for my visit to Loyola. I got what I paid for, with no hidden surprises, and it was a worthwhile stay. By the way I was traveling by myself, no company!

This was our first real visit to Chicago. We picked location and no frills. Honestly, the staff here made our experience exceed expectations to a point that we'll be coming back. Great location, family-oriented, easy city access, SAFE, clean, and very unique (in a very cool way) upon entry. Guys, the elevator is cute, no big deal. During the right weather with the beach nearby, what else could you need?
