The most surprising thing about this hotel is that it came with a washer dryer which was fantastic as I’ve been travelling for about a month and it was really wonderful to have that service. Plus it’s a very quirky hotel in the best way love the Clock collection!

The property and rooms were super clean and comfortable. I was so surprised to see this hidden GEM in Chicago. It is close to Devon street where we love to go for food and shopping so GEM will definitely be our stop every time we are in Chicago area. Breakfast was so good not the usual buffet at other places but a made to order and hot and yummy. The service was outstanding. I would give it a 10/10 and totally recommend it.

2 bedroom handicapped accessible suite was reserved. The bathroom was located inside the master bedroom, which allowed no privacy and was very inconvenient. The wheelchair could not fit beside the bed leaving the lobby bathroom as the only option. Grateful it was only 1 night since a shower waa not possible. Complimentary breakfast was delicious.

Lovely stay with helpful staff excellent location. Breakfast is a wonderful full dining experience -no pre packaged chain hotel offerings. One can easily walk to shopping, dining, cafes and Lake Michigan. Rooms very clean with lots of storage /closet space. Mini kitchens are fully equipped with new appliances that all work! Only comment is that bed and pillows were very firm and made it uncomfortable to sleep-this is the reason for 4 stars and not 5.

The location was very convenient to northwestern university. The breakfast was very nice. But the room/suite was lacking. The bathroom was located off of one of the bedrooms so we all had to walk thru the bedroom to use it. The other bedroom should at least have a mirror so the other occupants can get ready outside of the bathroom. The overnight staff was very disappointing. We attended a theater production and came in after midnight. Our room key did not work to open the main door. The front desk staffed 24/7 did not answer our phone calls or the doorbell for 10-15 minutes. I had to walk around the outside of the building and look into the office where the front desk person was sitting there. Then she let us in.
