"We stayed 3 nights in the Elisabeth Downtown Apartments in mid-September 2026. We walked from the main train station which took about 15 - 20 minutes but was pleasant, especially once we were off the main road. Found the apartments easy to find and well signposted. Located quite central yet in a fairly quiet area. Many bars and restaurants are located within minutes of the apartments, and you will be spoiled for choice! Public transport is located about 5-minute walk, which we didn't use as there is so much to see when walking around. If you want to buy food/drink and use the apartments facilities, then there is a Spar supermarket about 3–4-minute walk away. Our room on the 3rd floor had a nice little balcony overlooking the central courtyard which was very quiet. The room was clean, spacious, well equipped (kitchen facilities easy to use) and very comfortable for 2 people. Wish we had more time here and would definitely recommend this facility for anyone visiting Budapest."

"The Michelin‑starred Costes Downtown located on the lower level was a welcome bonus. Our room was beautifully decorated, with thoughtful details such as magnets to keep the heavy drapery securely closed. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. However, the front‑desk agent wrote down an incorrect room number at check‑in, which caused unnecessary inconvenience at a point when we were already exhausted. The relaxation room also felt underwhelming. We were traveling as part of a group and, after comparing experiences, realized that other nearby hotels may offer better overall value."

"The Movenpick is well-located in the magnificent, beautiful and brilliant city of Budapest. I’d firstly like to say a huge thank you to the staff for a wonderful stay. The tram and metro station are very closeby (pro tip: be VERY CAREFUL with your tickets), but if you want to walk to the many attractions and sites in Budapest - I walked 65km in 2.5 days - the strolls through the city are lovely, especially if you have great weather like I did. Budapest’s architecture is simply astonishing. As for the hotel, it has a pretty lobby area which is very welcoming and is modern and well-decorated. - The staff: All staff were superb; helpful, polite and friendly. Delightful. - Housekeeping: Terrific - every day. - The room: Spacious and quiet. The bathroom is amazing. The main room is very nice, and the bed is comfortable. The rooms may need refreshing soon, but they’re clean and well-appointed. - Breakfast: Lots of fresh options for a vegan like me. The grilled veggies are delicious! - Gym: Not brilliant. Just dumbbells up to 10kg, a bench, a spin bike that needs servicing and a treadmill. There’s a small stretch area. As a PT and spin class instructor I’m fussy and I know it’s a small space; but I think a few more free weights would really help. However, with some creativity I had some great workouts so this isn’t a criticism. Overall, the Movenpick fully deserves its four stars and is well worth recommending if you visit this stunning city. Excellent."
