Had a really good one night stay, food was lovely and a nice friendly atmosphere throughout. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful going out of their way when the spa shut earlier than we were told allowing us to use it

Accommodation is expensive but excellent. Restaurant service could have been more relaxed. Location is superb alongside the river. Restaurant is overpriced ! Having said that we will be back because of the excellent location and the fabulous suite we had.

Such a lovely hotel , amazing view of the river , was given a upgrade wow it was a 2 bedroom apartment floor to ceiling window in lounge to relax and watch the boats sail by what more could we ask for . The food was all delicious, we had breakfast , lunch and dinner , staff were all very friendly . The hydropool in spa was relaxing everywhere was clean . There were a couple of niggles in the room , the bed was making creaking noises every movement which was a bit annoying so maybe the bedstead was loose ? But other than that it was very comfortable to sleep in , the rooms were incredibly warm so had to open windows couldn’t see any heating on anywhere , one bedside lamp wasn’t working , one of the bathroom sink plunger plugs was very hard to let water out when sink was full it worked eventually , and after a day everytime we opened the room door it started to stick and had to pull door towards us first in order for it to release to get in , all these are easily fixable so we didn’t complain as we were only there for 2 days and we had a lovely stay and would defiantly stay there again

Had a lovely stay here with my Granddaughter, we enjoyed massages and the spa pool and sauna, all very relaxing. Delicious and very filling breakfast. Lovely large room with views over the river. Would have given 5 stars but the requested twin was not made up and there was an event whose Disco was loud and went on until midnight.

Lovely mini break by the river

Wonderful mini break! Fantastic location overlooking the river and just a short walk to Christchurch centre. Clean hotel, exceptional food in the restaurant with really welcoming staff. Lovely breakfast as well. We will be coming back!

Lovely hotel, relaxing stay. Didn't want to leave.

We just wanted a few quiet days away together. We know Christchurch and the surrounding area very well, so chose a lovely hotel, so that if early April weather not so good, we good at least relax and enjoy the hotel. We were not disappointed, lots of lovely touches and a great river view from our spacious room. The bed was comfortable, the TV and wifi good and breakfast was excellent. I would love to stay there again and would recommend to anyone.

Five star experience ✨️

Came for a. Family wedding, everything was amazing, a perfect venue, and the whole staff from management to housekeeping were brilliant, did an awesome job & were very friendly & attentive. It was the hottest weekend of the year, but still nothing was too much effort for the staff, first class experience.

Great stay with fab view

Really lovely stay for one night in a recently refurbished roomy double with lovely shower room and view across the river. Comfortable bed and well sound proofed. Didn’t have dinner but had beautifully made cocktails in the bar as a nightcap. Can recommend!! Breakfast was served efficiently by friendly staff, my only small complaint was that my breakfast was served lukewarm on cold plates. Will definitely return soon!!

The hotel experience was mediocre. The telephone in the room was out of order, leaving no way to contact reception or room service without physically going to the front desk. There was also no mobile signal, so using a mobile phone wasn’t an option either. The spa was fine but lacked atmosphere; as the only guest there, no refreshments were offered to help me relax. The room carpet had a visible stain, despite attempts to conceal it. Although the website claimed to offer 24-hour room service, this was not the case. When I returned to the hotel at 2 a.m., I was met by the night porter, who was also cleaning. Upon asking about room service, the only option offered was a chicken sandwich, which he would prepare, so I ended up going to bed hungry. However, I can’t fault the staff, as they were all friendly and polite.
