"We had a great stay, it's like being in the country in Italy years ago. No modern amenities or decor which is OK. You get the feel of living like an Italian. You hang your laundry and do the dishes by hand (there is a dishwasher but it's outside the kitchen so not ideal), no microwave or coffee pot, you use a mocha. You do need mosquito spray as in the country there are a lot of bugs. The rooms are nice and all have showers, just the beds are hard but you get used to it. The road to get there is difficult but it is more secluded. We loved the pool and fireflies at night (magical). It's an hour from Rome and just a short drive to other cities which are really interesting. Grocery is not too far (they make good pizzas!) Owner is really nice and helpful. We'd visit again for sure!"

"Amazing location in the heart of the best Italian countryside we have come across. An easy walk to local restaurants and short drive to larger supermarkets. The local festival at the time of our visit added to the authenticity of the area with a splendid firework display at the end of the day. The multiple staircases in the property was a bit of a challenge for one of family members but everything else was as we expected. Bedroom window views were postcard worthy and the very large grounds, including, the pool are well looked after. The property has all you need and was clean and tidy with a mid-week bed linen change too. Any maintenance issues were dealt with swiftly. A great place to use as a base to visit other areas too including Rome via the Orte station; Assisi, Marmouth falls and Orvieto. The property itself is steeped in history and has had some interesting visitors from centuries past. Our family party from 7 months old to 63 years all enjoyed our holiday and would recommend it."
