"This was a fantastic stay and the listing couldn't be more accurate. We stayed for 8 nights and it was our first holiday with our 5 month old baby.Kathie and Chris are great hosts. They really made us feel at home and went through everything with us when we arrived which put us at ease for the week and made us fully familiar with how to live comfortably during our stay.The views are stunning. The sunrises in particular were breathtaking given the apartment sits on an eastern facing hill. Kathie and Chris have done an incredible job with the design of the space as well.The pool - this was the standout for us. We were keen to still stay somewhere that enabled us to explore the west side of the island but the private pool was a huge plus point as we were keen to get our 5 month old into it and have the privacy and peace to do so at our own pace (without lots of kids splashing around or similar at hotel pools). Don't be put off by the pool being salt water - this isn't remotely as explicit as it sounds. It's a process of chlorinating the water and isn't remotely what you would guess a salt water pool would be like - do not let the naive understanding of salt water pools put you off - its better than a regular pool.Overall an unforgettable stay, which is lovely as we will cherish our first ever family holiday being somewhere as amazing as this.Do not hesitate if you are considering booking this apartment!! "The property was beautiful inside and out. The location was up in the mountains with beautiful views. Total peace & quiet. Jerry, our host, was excellent. He was not intrusive and so helpful - he made our stay even better. We loved this property and the location and would definitely consider going back. Highly recommended."

"Beautiful villa tucked in sweet local village. We enjoyed the villla, great views, spacious, clean, great character and a helpful friendly host. We shopped at local grocery and dined on the patio, enjoyed the pool and made use of the washer. Very safe place too! Highly recommend if you'd like to get out if the city and retreat for a bit."

"We stayed here for 10 days and had a lovely relaxing holiday. The Villa is in a quiet location but it is easy to get to the beach and Kournas Lake by car. Our host Politini was super helpful and very easy to reach, her Dad also has a great supermarket in the village where you can pick up any shopping you need including his delicious olive oil. "

"We had a wonderful time in the villa, the pictures online don't do it justice, it is much prettier in real life with many different areas for everyone to relax. We had one or two small issues which were dealt with quickly. George and his father were always available and very helpful. The pool and BBQ were exceptional. "We spent three lovely days at the villa up in the mountains. It was full of rustic charm and very peaceful (the only sounds in the evening were goats and birds!) The building has lots of history and has a pool and an en site convenience store which is really useful. The breakfast was incredible! It was served on the balcony of our room. I’d highly recommend that you have it when you stay! The owner is also very helpful and communicative. I had several questions throughout the stay and always received timely and informative responses. "

"Loved this place. View was spectacular. Stavros was helpful & responsive. He met us at 4:30 am, gave us a map and tips on things to see, and provided some snacks. There are some steep hills to get up here, but we did it in a regular car. I’m an A/C girl through and through, but we didn’t need it - the stone house keeps cool and there are many windows for a nice breeze. The pool and patio and balconies are lovely and we spent most of our time there. And I loved the amazing large bathtub!! Be sure to check out the sunrise from the upstairs balcony. "

"May 2025 - Beautiful mountain villa near a small village in Crete. The grounds are meticulously maintained by the lovely Sylvia and Georgios with beautiful flowers in the spring and a refreshing pool. The hosts/owners are wonderful people and provided complementary water, salted olives, wine, lunch meat, cheese, bread, and much more. Very relaxing getaway, highly recommended."
