"The hotel was clean and well presented, and although I didn’t have time to use the facilities, everything appeared in good order. Unfortunately, the breakfast was very disappointing. The “full English” only included scrambled eggs, with no option for fried or poached eggs, and there were no cold meats or cheeses available. There wasn’t even any marmalade. At £17.50, it was certainly not worth the price."

"The hotel let itself by not having a high chair for our 6 month old baby at breakfast. Breakfast was quite quiet yet they didn’t have more than 2x high chairs in the whole hotel. It meant we had to hold our baby while trying to eat breakfast. Shame, as we were looking forward to a nice breakfast where we could relax. "

"Not sure if I got the gritty room because I paid with my points or if most of the rooms are so tired and dated? Shower hanging out of holes in the wall tiles, paintwork flaking around doors, dirty marks on walls, tv so old that the remote still has a “teletext” button! If I got such a bad room because I wasn’t a fully paying customer then shame on The Berystede. I won’t be rushing back."
