The York by Swiss-Belhotel International

8/10 Good
"We had last stayed at the York Apartments 40 years ago so a bit risk just choosing the location. When we arrived we soon noticed how tidy a place it was with a certain amount of modernisation however the thing we had forgotten was just how much room in the unit making for a comfortable stay indeed, Proximity to u der ground stations, light rail stops cabs etc meant easy access to the Central City plus suburban attractions . Staff very friendly and the unit had a large kitchen which would enable preparation of own meals if required. A full laundry was also a useful addition for travellers. Excellent Cafés in the area which made for great breakfasts. Overall very happy with the place and likely to use again next time in Sydney"

Rydges Australia Square

8/10 Good
"We arrived 3 hours early, were told our room was available but it would be $30 extra to get it early. No thank you, we were hungry and went and ate elsewhere until we could check in. Once checked in, a staff member knocked on our door and immediately entered our room uninvited. We were resting on our bed and didn’t even have time to get up before door was opened. Not acceptable. Other than the initial reception person and the person who barged into our room, the staff were good. Room was tiny, but clean and modern. Hotel is in a fantastic position in the city."
