"Room was spotless ,building is well maintained though it is a very old building . They have off street parking ,neighborhood is safe and in the mornings they have in house breakfast ."

"We have stayed at the Essex St. Inn 3 or 4 times. We love the quaintness, feels like you're staying in someone's home, not a uniform hotel room. Everything is so walkable, walk on the Trail by the water, they have swings & Adirondack chairs, restaurants & bars & shops are steps from the Hotel. Highly recommended!"

"The property is nicely located but in need of updates. A lot of the lamps are plug in vs light switch and there were some flickering lights behind the TV. One lamp was missing a light bulb. No outlet in the bathroom for a hair dryer. The second bathroom is missing a door handle making it hard to open and close. We were unable to reach the ceiling fan chain without having to get on the bed, The Air Conditioner wasn't working on he first floor which made it a bit stuff but with open windows at...
