I was really surprised by how big the rooms were, how polite and responsive the staff were, and mostly, I didn’t feel unsafe. Seems like a lot of reviews about “safety” have to do with the visuals of poverty in the area. I didn’t feel unsafe- traveling as a single (queer) woman. "The hotel staff was very nice and friendly. The hotel room was more than i expected with a kitchen. I found old petrified food on the carpet under the bed. I would have liked to have a chair or somewhere to sit other than the bed. The hotel was quiet and peaceful. I had no problems with anything except finding old food on the floor. The price was great, and the front desk guy was exceptionally friendly. I wish I could remember his name. He made it a great place. "
