"We got engaged in Boscastle at the start of July and so this hotel will always be special, but it’s special regardless. Beautiful building, exceptional food, lovely pub atmosphere, helpful staff. We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade and the room was beautiful - huge bed, lovely en suite and high-beamed ceilings. The breakfast is included and it’s exceptional - best scrambled eggs I’ve had in years. Couldn’t rate more highly!"

"The Duke of York is a proper British local pub in a building that's a good few hundred years old. The staff and the locals are friendly and welcoming and the food is great. Dont get upset that there's no lift to the upper level or at the absence of Aircon. Just go with the flow "

"I had a wonderful nights stay in a king size bed in an extremely quiet farm away from normal life. There was a good view of the splendid fireworks from the Summer ball down in Tavistock that night, then waking up to a lovely cooked breakfast. The couple were very helpful throughout and I will book again. Don't expect modern day living just homely comfort and a great view of the countryside on a working farm."

"The tree inn is a beautiful 13th century house in a lovely part of bude . Very clean inside and out. The host Simon is a friendly guy who will go the extra mile to make sure your stay is perfect. Would definitely recommend. 10/10 "
