Chateau Country Inn

"Prior to my stay they sent out a comprehensive information email about parking, checking in, etc. The exterior of the place is unassuming and the identified parking spots are on grass. You enter up a few steps and into a lobby where your room key is ready to pickup with some additional information on a self checkin basis. The instructions identified how to find your room on the second floor. Upon entering the room it was bright with natural lighting, nice decor and in very good repair, it also included a refrigerator. My room faced the road with large windows but fortunately the road noise was insignificant. I liked the morning light and the views to the water out the other windows. The place has five rooms all which were occupied. My room was very quiet and I hardly heard any noise from the other guests. There is a common kitchen, dinning room and sitting area on the opposite end of the guest rooms. Coffee and tea could be self served anytime and there were some snacks readily available. The breakfast was sparse but was acceptable with a meat, egg dish and starch. The sitting room and dining room overlooked the water and were pleasant spaces. Interesting part was I never saw the host but she did leave her contact info if I needed anything. I spent two nights here and it served my needs well and was reasonably priced. I would stay here again."

Waterfront 5 Bedroom Grindstone Island Farmhouse

"I do not think the pictures in the listing capture how nice this farmhouse is. My family had an amazing week exploring the island, swimming at the dock, and enjoying the area. We rented a boat to get access to the island. Boating in this area might not be great for an inexperienced boater like we were. Lots of hazards so you need to be careful. A few days were windy so we had to use a water taxi because it was too rough for our small boat. We had an amazing time, it was quite an adventure for us!"
Waterview House w/ Fenced Yard, Woodboat, & Museum

"We (4 adults) stayed for a week here with our two dogs. Allison (the host) provided easy check in and was friendly and communicated promptly relating to any questions we had. The house was well equipped with anything we needed even though I packed a lot of our own things just in case. There was even a stand mixer to use when I made a bday cake! The beds were comfortable, everything was clean, great water pressure in the showers, and the dogs enjoyed the fenced yard. A short walk into town takes you to fun restaurants and to our favorite spot, the ADK chairs on the river. Check out instructions were clear and as easy as check in. Overall, a great week spent and we’d definitely choose this house again for a future stay."
