"The driveway construction workers showed up unannounced to resurface the parking area. It was loud. It would’ve been nice to have a little advanced notice."

"Great place at a fantastic price. Conveniently located within walking distance (or a very short drive) from all the attractions and dining of Alexandria Bay, but not directly there, which makes it quieter. There's an amazing distillery nearby, Dark Island. If you're into small batch, artisanal bourbons, don't miss it. The staff clean the rooms every day, which was unexpected but much appreciated. My one minor quibble is the size of the bathrooms/shower. They're tiny. Lots of things to do in the area, and if you have a passport, Canada is a short drive away, accessible by car via a bridge. I highly recommend this property. I should warn anyone planning a visit that the village of Alexandria Bay is seasonal. The whole place completely shuts down after Labor Day. Make sure you check online, so you don't go when pretty much everything is closed."

"The location was close to everything. The property was as described. The trip was great. The only problem was the check in directions. They had the keypad code to get in the condo; however, they did not have what condo number we were to check into. A neighbor helped us figure out which condo to go to."

"Our stay at this VRBO was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived, everything felt thoughtfully prepared and welcoming and they even had a nice local bottle of wine waiting for us upon arrival. The home was spotless and stocked with all the little touches that make travel easier when away from home, a fully equipped kitchen, and clear, helpful instructions.The location was perfect! It was peaceful, convenient, and exactly as described. We loved starting our mornings on the front porch and ending our evenings relaxing in the cozy living space. It truly felt like a home away from home.Our hosts were exceptional in every way. They were responsive, kind, and clearly committed to providing a great experience. We’ve stayed in other rentals over the years, and this one stands out as one of the very best. We will absolutely be returning."

Walk Downtown, New...Boathouse Included!!!

"Boathouse was cozy and very tidy when we arrived. The owner was actually on location staying with family in another boat house they have. She was very attentive to our needs and kept great communication throughout our stay. I also found out that A co-worker had stayed there several years prior after I posted pictures and he told me to look at the guest book they have. We went to Boldt Castle and singer castle one an Uncle Sam's Boat Tour which was absolutely amazing. We also did the Uncle Sam's Boat Tour two Nations tour again absolutely amazing. We brought kayaks and bicycles with us and utilize them in French Creek part of Clayton just a 20-minute drive away. The scenery around the river was absolutely amazing and breathtaking when you can view the castle from the local Alexandria Bay Town Center. Definitely worth taking a trip out this way. Especially if you are just looking to relax and enjoy the area. Thank you again to our host family for being such great hosts. We hope to visit you again soon."
