Top Cleator Hotel Reviews
Ennerdale Country House Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful listed building under new ownership and are navigating the complexities of future development. If you want a hotel with character that is clean, with good food, and friendly staff, this is it. It’s cosy, comfortable, peaceful and somewhere to relax. Highly recommended."
Beech Hill Hotel & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"The room was excellent with great lake views"
Lake District Castle Inn hotel & Spa
8/10 Good
"Its a nice Place to stay. Near to all the places we want to go to. The staff are very helpful ."
Keswick Country House Hotel
8/10 Good
"Very quaint hotel. Felt like we were staying in a bit of history. Very nice bar and grounds. Keswick is a neat area, with lots of shops and restaurants. Only complaint: the biggest freaking spider I’ve even seen decided to take up residence in the bathroom. Fortunately it was the last day, so we let him have it."
The Ro Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely stay fantastic staff would stay again"
The Belsfield Hotel
8/10 Good
"Nice hotel which has had some recent refurbishment. Breakfast was only OK. Buffet style but food was only warm, some of which was poor quality. Lighting of the ballroom needs attention as it was so bright. Large lake view room was lovely, albeit it needs checking more thoroughly as there were cobwebs and maintenence issues. Gardens needs lighting as we nearly fell trying to return to the hotel o the dark. Paying for carparking when you've paid £350 per night is poor."
Woodlands Guest House Windermere
8/10 Good
"Staff were friendly. Very good parking outside property. Breakfast was excellent. Good choice from cereal, toast, full breakfast and American pancakes with fresh fruit or bacon. Room was comfortable. Rust on bottom of radiator and no where to hang clothes in ensuite. Shower was good Otherwise lovely stay.Short walk into Windermere. Bus stops outside property"
Macdonald Old England Hotel & Spa
8/10 Good
"Everything was amazing. Great location and lovely staff. The view from breakfast and the terrace bar was great. 2 things to improve that really hot under my skin.... Breakfast wasn't great. And the hotel bar is extremely overpriced. We paid 10£ for 2 cups of tea (tea bag tea!!!) and alcohol and soft drinks also way over priced. If you book, just make a brew in your room and bring it down, it's the same tea!"
The Bridge Inn
8/10 Good
"The hotel was old but beautifully set in the middle of nowhere. Only 1 staff member on and couldn’t cope with the workload. Was very off with all customers. Food was excellent."
