"This place is incredible and we were so lucky to have found it! Very comfy and very well stocked. My friends and I were in town visiting the Jefferson pools and were so happy to land here. Amazing hot tub, beautiful stars and a really lovely place to stay. There weren’t any reviews on Vrbo yet when I booked and I’m happy to spread the word and suggest this stay to anyone. Best Western Lexington Inn

6/10 Okay

"Room was generally clean but had a bad Oder. We initially thought it was bleach or cleaning products but after a time realized it was more of a musty sour smell. Not very pleasant. Plus we did not realize this was more of a motel than a hotel. Our fault on that but still a surprise. Our first floor room opened right onto the parking lot. The hotel was fortunately not too busy because any parking lot noise was very loud. I would stay again if I was in a pinch. The location is great, but I would research other spots first. We did not realize how many great boutique hotels there are in downtown Lexington which is so close."

"While we kind of get what we paid for, the towels and linen were stained and had hair all over them. The refrigerator was stained and had leftover residue from another guest and food on the floor. Staff was kind and efficient, but overall cleanliness would prevent us from staying here again. Additionally, the walls are so thin it felt like other guests were there with us!"

"The breakfast was decent. They did serve alternative breakfast options like egg white omelette and turkey sausages/patties. Healthier yogurts. The pancake machine was convenient. The exterior of the property was clean, parking was plentiful, and there was a gas station within walking distance. Staff were polite and professional. I would not recommend the neighboring Applebee’s. The restaurant appeared poorly maintained, with sticky floors and tables, vegetables that did not seem fresh, and a lukewarm entrée. Unfortunately, the room itself was very disappointing. There was trash left inside a kitchen cabinet from a previous guest, the room had a strong unpleasant odor, and the bathroom smelled of urine. The bathroom tile grout was dark and dirty, the shower curtain had stains and an odor, and the bathtub drained very slowly. The shower curtain rod appeared improperly installed, causing water to spray onto the bathroom floor, and the shower head was partially detached from the wall. The kitchenette consisted only of a microwave, full-size refrigerator, and single-cup Keurig. Both beds were uneven and uncomfortable, the bathroom faucet was extremely stiff and difficult to operate, and both dining chairs had ripped upholstery. Overall, the room appeared poorly maintained and in need of deep cleaning and repairs. While the exterior and staff were fine, the condition of the room made for an unpleasant stay."

"Our stay at Hillcrest Mansion was a 4 star experience in every conceivable way. This magnificent house has been meticulously restored. From the gorgeous period antiques to the dinnerware, every element is in pristine condition. But there’s nothing antique about the amenities, From the beautifully appointed, updated bathrooms to a jaw dropping gourmet breakfast, this was our most enjoyable — and indulgent— stay at a bed and breakfast. The owner (Martha) is a warm and gracious host and as an added bonus, you get her charming and entertaining parents. Highly recommend!"
