Brooks Street Motor Inn

10/10 Excellent

"Room was clean, smelled nice and lots of room! It was very up to date despite its age. The lobby was clean, the grounds were nice, plenty of parking. Good restaurants nearby. Brandon at the front desk was very helpful. The only drawback was the aged AC unit that could only be set to 68 or it would freeze up (according to the note on the wall) but that setting only brought the room temp down to 75, which is warm for sleeping."

"The room was nice and beds comfortable. Facility was clean. Nice TV. Having a restaurant on-site was a bonus to us. We were traveling by motorcycle and really did not want to get back on to find a place to eat. I would give the property a B+ but the breakfast gets a D-. Very substandard to other similar hotels we have stayed in. No eggs or meat other than cold, boiled eggs. Everything except the coffee was jammed into a tiny space. There were people stacked up four deep trying to get to the breakfast foods. Exceptionally poorly laid out. The juice should have been with the coffee. The waffle maker should have been on a separate table. The TV was not on and waffles could have been put in that space. Bananas were green and not edible. Should not have been put out. Very poor selection of food. Probably would not stay here again based on the breakfast experience even though the rest of the facility was nice."
