It's located close to everything in town without being in town itself. It's right off a main road, but the cottage is set back enough so that it is not obtrusive. "We had a five sibling reunion--the youngest was 78. We made extensive use of the Keurig single cup coffee maker and the four recliner chairs. The front door handle was broken, but it was promptly fixed while we went to dinner. The guest book with information regarding the area was missing so we used Google and recommendations from people we interacted with. All communication was through VRBO because we weren't given a direct phone number. The location is very beautiful and rural with Amish farms...

"Beautiful quaint property with many amenities and very close to downtown Lancaster and Tanger outlets while maintaining the authentic Amish charm. The hosts were super friendly. The family dog, Ellie, was super sweet and greeted us every day while playing outside. There is a lot to do that don't require screens, so it provided a nice break from the technology dominated lives we all live these days. Everything was ad advertised. "So much to do in Brandywine Valley and this home was a perfect home base. The location was close to everything - historic sites, antique shops, wineries, great restaurants and Longwood Gardens. It’s advertised as “cozy” and we found it charming and comfortable. Loved the excellent communication, ease of entry and departure, and warm welcome from our hostess. It was a perfect weekend getaway."

"It was easy to get to from the highway which is important to me. The place was neat & clean & well decorated. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. I have a bad back but had no problems in the morning. Would highly recommend it. One thing I could suggest....if the owner's car could be left out of the driveway long enough so the renters could back in to unload & load their cars."

"It was me, my son and my sister staying. The grounds were beautiful, and we fed the goats too! It was late season, so no pool or any relaxing outdoors. Brrr. Traffic is light in the area so it was easy to get in a 2+ mile walk and see the local neighborhoods. As it was mentioned in the listing (but not obvious in the photos), you have to walk through the bunk room to get to the master bedroom, and the door to the upstairs bath doesn't offer total privacy.
