We stayed in one of the many tiny houses and it was perfect!! So much to do at the campground and everyone was super friendly. Would definitely go back!!
Nice little cottage, clean enough, quiet, friendly staff at KOA. Easy check-in. Front door had to be pulled hard to shut completely and shower head and shower curtain needed some TLC but other than that it was a nice stay.
This place was great. It was a little far to find places to eat but, we managed. The J03 (trailer) was a clean nice glamping trailer. Very clean, dog friendly, they even have a dog park. Swimming, Kayaking all free and laundry. Along with a nice store that you can get ice cream, buy a shirt, etc. I would stay here again!

The property was very clean and everyone was very friendly and there was a lot of activities to do even though we were here for a quick stay for a wedding, there was a live band with food trucks and many things to keep the little ones busy. First time staying in a cottage in a campground, and not opposed to it. Usually a hotel guy- not the camping type and served its purpose well.
The cable was out the entire stay. It was a huge inconvenience with small kids. However, enjoyed amenities for kids the lake was gorgeous and the area for curva ora a plus would stay again.
This property was exactly as described. Our cabin sat right near the playground so we could sit on the deck and watch our kids. The campground sits on the sound with multiple kayaks available for guest use and piers for fishing and swimming. Beautiful sunsets every night over the water! The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the sunset cruises and water taxi to Corolla are not yet up and running but otherwise it was a great trip. We will be staying here again in the future!
Cabin was exactly as pictured and in great repair. Only issues were the under microwave light would not fully turn off (attracted bugs at night) and if you cook on the stovetop, it makes the cabin super hot and sets off the smoke alarm. Plan on cooking out at the grill as much as possible. The area gets very buggy so I understand now why there were bugs on the floor and stove when we checked in. I swept pretty much constantly between bugs and sand and 6 people staying in the cabin. Even though 6 people can technically sleep in these cabins I’d recommend for 3 or less. They are very tight quarters on rainy days especially. We stayed during some super hot humid days and since the water taxi was not available, we had to do a 1 hr drive to Corolla to get to a public beach for some breeze! You can also drive to kitty hawk for a little less of a drive time. My kids really enjoyed the pedal carts, mini golf and free use of fishing rods, kayaks and paddle boards. We all swam often off the swimming pier as well. Overall, it’s a budget way to stay at the obx but know that you’ll be doing a lot of driving to get to the actual beach and obx attractions.
My family and I loved this cute little cabin. We enjoyed a few of the amenities that the location offered. I like the fact that it was relatively close to Kitty Hawk. We really enjoyed our stay. We definitely plan on staying again.
