"We arrived she allowed us an early check in for we traveled by car from California which we were grateful for. Then I let her know that two of the guest are smokers which she placed us near an exit which was great for them to go out side to smoke. The one at the register desk then made it very clear that marijuana is not allowed in the building. I was taken aback. I ensured her that there was not of that even with us. She continued to tell me how it was not allowed several more times. Then later that evening when we all settled in my cousin got up to use the restroom our room was starting to flood. They switched us rooms rights away. Next morning same clerk asked if we propped the exit door open. When we told her no she kept insisting that we must have cause the room had never flooded before. My cousin shut the door the last time they went out cause the lightning scared them. I was again taken aback with her insistence on us leaving the door open. It was upsetting and twice I felt profiled one way or another"

"You know what?I really loved our stay at the thunderbird lodge.I've seen a couple negative reviews. And i may have put three stars on maintenance and useful amenities. But that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy my stay as much as I absolutely could.They had a full kitchen, so we didn't have a grill outside like most cabins . But we had a full kitchen a walk in pantry with two fridges two freezers a ton of shelf space a massive patio ride on the lake?It was absolutely beautiful.The staff was super helpful. Apparently, the grounds are haunted so super fun ."

"Was the perfect place for our family. The grandkids loved the pool, hot tub and the tour. Feeding the Rhino and Giraffes are something we will not soon forget. Ty and his team are the best hosts. They left us with everything we needed to have smores with the family while we watched zebras and other wildlife walk by the cabin. Mountain bikes were provided where we could explore the 3,800 acre ranch at our leisure. Highly recommend staying here, and we will be back again!"
