The location and property was so nice. The wooded property was so peaceful and quiet. The cabin was clean and very well kept. Everything you needed was there. The host always got back to you if you had any questions. I would highly recommend this property.
The property was truly amazing. It was so peaceful. They had so much to offer inside as far as utensils, games and convenience. I will definitely stay again. Thank you so much for the opportunity.
We had a great stay. The cabin was in a great location and our walk in the wood’s around the property was a great time. Amazing views and a great location. Would definitely stay here again.
Pleasant stay, great communication with hosts.
They informed us of possible bear activities in area. House was very clean and accommodating. Wish we could stay longer!
This was a perfect spot for our annual family get together. We cooked every meal and had everything we needed. Kids loved playing in the loft and outside.
It was great place to get away from it all and dusconnect from the world, so you can reconnect with you family. Place was clean and cozy without being cramped. Hoping we get to come back soon
We were looking for a place to stay for 8, plus 2 dogs close to Woodland Park and this cabin hit the mark. The teen and older kids loved the games and puzzles. It’s hard to travel with dogs, but this cabin was perfect. We got lucky with a bunch of snow, and even got a warning call from the owners to make sure we were prepared. Great communication by the owners and the cabin was well stocked with essentials. I highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a clean, private getaway in the mountains.
The cabin was not only beautiful on the outside but on the inside as well the location was perfectly far enough from the city to get away and enjoy the mountainside but still close enough that if you needed to go into Town it was only a short drive it was a great opportunity to bring our family together and unplug from our devices. Sue and Ron were so kind helpful and accommodating
Had a wonderful time. The cabin deck was our favorite spot in the evening. We saw a lot of constellations. The state park was very cool and we did some fishing but be ready to hike for it. We drove over to Manite Springs and had lunch and were excited to see lots of shops, we even found a arcade place with some very old games. We went to Cripple creek also but the down town was mostly casinos. The views at the cabin were lovely. Plenty of room for all of us.Thank you Sue for the fabulous family memories we made there.
We can’t begin to express how wonderful the cabin is. The area is absolutely beautiful— you will not be disappointed. We enjoyed seeing a couple deer near the home and the quiet was amazing! Safe lighting during the evening and so much thought put into visitors staying at the cabin. The piece that stuck out the most of this home wasn’t how clean or beautiful the cabin was, it was how thoughtful the host is. The instructions not only help with knowing important information about the home, but the small things you take for granted when you are in a new area. Information on local channels, local sites to see and so much more. Not only is this a wonderful place to stay, but a wonderful host to work with. Would highly recommend for an amazing weekend!
The house was clean. Just what we were looking for. Peaceful quiet retreat in the mountains. Rainbow Valley is a hidden gem right between Divide and cripple Creek. We were able to explore cripple Creek within 15 to 20 minutes.
There is no Verizon cellular coverage or Wi-Fi at the house. But that didn’t bother us. Thank you for sharing your home.
This beautiful home sits over 10,000 feet above sea level and looks out on Pikes Peak. The lot is full of aspens, pines, and wildlife. The house itself has comfy beds, cozy decor, plenty of space, and all the comforts of home. The hosts were helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful trip. We loved being close to Mueller State Park, the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, Cripple Creek, Rita the Rock Planter Troll, Florissant Fossil Beds, and the Cog Railway. After beautiful days exploring, we loved coming home and making hardy family meals in the kitchen, which has every cooking and eating utensil needed. We loved unplugging from the internet, playing games together, and watching movies after the sunset. This is a breathtaking property with wonderful hosts. Thank you so much!
We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed all of them. The cabin has the normal accoutrements for cooking, though we could have used a true pasta strainer. Our cell service (T-Mobile) was pretty much non-existent and there is no wi-fi (there is satellite tv), but that actually kept our family from getting lost in our devices while on vacation, so it wasn't a bad thing for us. The cabin is in a community that leaves ample space between each lot. You could see one other cabin if you knew where to look, but the neighborhood was quiet and we didn't feel cramped at all. There was lots of space around the cabin for the kids and our dog to explore. The location is central to a number of area attractions like Pike's Peak and Cripple Creek, and close to Mueller State Park and the Wolf and Wildlife center. It is about 20 minutes from Woodland Park where there are a fair number of restaurants if you're not looking to cook while at the cabin. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return if we want to hit up the local attractions or have an opportunity to do extended leaf peeping in the Fall.
Ron and Sue's secluded mountain home, with its stunning views of Pikes Peak, promised total privacy and relaxation—and it delivered. My son and I knew this was the perfect place for our getaway.Nestled at 9,200 feet in the Colorado mountains, the cabin offered both seclusion and easy access to local attractions. The breathtaking scenery truly took our breath away. It was the perfect escape from our busy lives; the peace and quiet we craved were readily available. As advertised, the cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable stay (just bring your food, clothes, and yourselves!). Charming and well-maintained, it boasted a spacious living area, comfortable bedrooms, and a rustic, homey feel. The deck was ideal for both daytime relaxation and nighttime stargazing. We made good use of the well-equipped kitchen, preparing delicious meals daily. The owners had thought of everything, providing extra blankets, towels, and a wide selection of movies and games. While it was just my son and me, I noted the abundance of games—perfect for families with children.Mornings on the deck were magical. Waking to the sounds of nature and those incredible mountain views was pure tranquility. Nearby, we explored Mueller State Park with its distant mountain vistas, and Eleven Mile State Park, where we witnessed brave souls ice fishing on the frozen lake. We also visited charming mountain towns like Cripple Creek (and its impressive ice sculptures) and, of course, Pikes Peak and Gar
House was cozy and comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed, nicely stocked. Place was pretty clean except for hand prints and nose prints (dogs?) on the picture windows and stray animal hair on our pillows and sheets . Unfortunately, neighbors dog liked to bark all. Morning . Long. So enjoying coffee on the deck and hoping for deer only happened once. Not counting this against the owners as they can’t control the neighbors dog, just annoying .
It’s a pretty property but it’s very hard to see any type of view shown in the pictures. Maybe the trees have gown over each other since they were taken ?
We were pleasantly surprised when we did get phone service, expecting none at all. It’s very sporadic for sure, but didn’t bother us one bit.
Selection of games and movies was poor for adults . Most movies were VHS. With no Wi-Fi available for computers or TV options , I was expecting more games or even cards adults could enjoy. We just flipped through the basic tv channels for entertainment each night .
Owners were very pleasant and quick to respond and were very helpful .
Even with a cleaning fee, expect to strip beds, gather all your towels , start laundry , do all your dishes and put them away (no dishwasher , which is no big deal , I just hope everyone cleans their dishes well ! ) and basic trash .
Our Beds were comfy and we loved sleeping with the cool mountain breeze coming through the windows. Very pretty drive up the mountain and to the house .
Beautiful area, we loved sitting outside, but the views from inside were great too! Well stocked kitchen, owners provided plenty of instructions to make our stay comfortable. Plenty of trails to hike nearby and great restaurants in Divide.
We had an absolute blast staying in Ron and Sue's cabin -- they were most helpful with the check-in and other tips. The location itself is just terrific: so peaceful, quiet, lovely view of Pike's peak. The cabin was most wonderful -- airy, bright, stocked with games and stuff for the kids, and just an ideal place to disconnect and recharge. Dearly hope to return! Thanks Ron & Sue!
