"Lovely cottage, quiet close to main road but traffic noise not a problem once inside. Great been able to walk the dogs straight from the front door in owners little wood and field. Comfortable and warm. New this year and maybe a a bit of fine tuning still required but nothing major - no welcome pack/pint of milk but garage at Scaling Dam with well stocked shop, curtains/blinds at downstairs windows would be nice for privacy, there was no frying pan (had 2 woks!). Ate out - at the Jack & Jill Pub, Scaling Dam couple of mins away and excellent food at the Waterwheel, Liverton, 5 mins away, Wetherspoons for cheapness in Guisboro'. Good location for visiting local area. Some Tourist Info leaflets would also be useful for those who are not familiar with the area. Had a lovely weekend break and would return again."

"The Forge was very nice and clean but needed the finishing touches egbathroom no where to put tooth brush soap shower gel in shower shampoo etc nowhere to hang anything wardrobes we're far to high to hang anything .Wet boots and coats nowhere to put when coming in wet"
