Only thing was we couldn’t find instructions for the cooker and to put the hot water on but we nipped over to reception and they were helpful (with the hot water and we worked out the cooker!!). "Perfect place to stop over for one night for the recent Radio 2 in the park gig. I was travelling solo so I didn’t really get to check out the amenities as I just needed a bed to stay in for the night. It’s clearly an olde worlde hotel which must have seen lots of swish parties over its time, it’s a little bit dated in areas but tbh I thought it was perfect for what I needed. The room (211) was clean and the bed was comfy and I even had a tiny view of the mountains through a gap in the building! I slept well & enjoyed the tea and coffee. My only downside was that I couldn’t get wi-fi at all in my room. I tried a million times but no luck.. I think the room was in a blackout area, I had to sit on the stairs to ring my dad!! Also, going back down to the car park late at night there was no light in the corridor so I had to feel my way outside! However, I’m not going to end on a negative note. Overall my experience was really positive. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful & the location was right in the middle of Stirling so I’d def recommend it as somewhere to stop over briefly! I’d definitely choose to stay here again when I return to Stirling. Thank you to all the staff. Naomi :)"
