"Castlehacket House is an amazing place in a very lovely, but remote location. We were very well taken care of in a beautiful room with a lovely breakfast the next day. The hosts took care of all the guests at breakfast with a very personable service and it is somewhere I would not hesitate to return too."

At night the girl serving as hostess was also the one who checked us in. Although the hotel wasn't in the heart of the main shopping, restaurant and pub area it was a quick taxi ride to get there. Parking on site was very convenient."

After reporting these issues to the concierge, a cleaner was sent to address the problem. The property is very misleading compared to the photos advertised. In reality, it feels more like a repurposed office block than a serviced apartment. We booked a twin room but were not informed that the accommodation appeared...

"Room was clean and the staff were great to us. Hotel’s location was also great. 5 minute walk to the city centre, train, bus station, and Lidl (supermarket). Only thing that could have been better is a little bench for luggage and possibly another chair. We were two people so it would get crammy at times. Also, the walls are thin. Everything can be heard from the hallway. Luckily we had a corner room so it wasn’t bad at all. Overall, we would definitely come to the Dean again!"

"The Fork restaurant is very good, no matter what’s on the menu you won’t be disappointed. Staff is always kind with a smile on their face they make you feel at home. The room is cleaned equipped with everything you may need. Location is perfect just a 15min on foot from Galway city centre and no worries with the car park. I strongly recommend this hotel. From my experiences everything was perfect, my third time in there and for sure not the last one I’ll be back when I Galway."
