"Brockway Mountain is an incredible location with views to take the breath away. The house is situated in a uniquely beautiful spot with wonderful scenery above the trees and the lake. There is a trade-off between convenience and the incredible beauty and peace of mountain living. Visitors should be prepared for "off the grid" living; we stayed in September, and on cloudy days there was no solar power after sunset. There is a generator that adds power but it is very noisy; a quieter generator would make a world of difference. We had no cell service while there, but the house has a good star-link satellite set-up for internet - however, it needs power to run. The house is adequately appointed except for the kitchen which lacks good pots and pans (very scratched teflon). Despite the off-grid challenges, we would visit again because the location, serenity and vistas are truly one of a kind. "
