"Hotel is in the good location and outside of location looks good like palace. Lobby reasonably ok. But room is very very small, inside room , the ambience is not good. Small cell like feeling. I observed one bug crawling in the bathroom. Shower gas shampoo and conditioner only, but no body soap inside shower. We had to take hand wash / body wash liquid bottle from sink area to shower area. "

"We had a great stay at Smartr. Perfect location on the Gaia side of the river. Easy to find public transport and just a couple of minutes from the riverfront. Large room and the kitchenette came in handy for breakfast. We would definitely stay again. "

"We enjoyed our stay at the Tivoli Kopke. The property is brand new with great views and a helpful staff. They’re just getting their operations up to speed, so there may be minor hiccups, but you’ll have a comfortable stay in Gaia at this property. Our room was very comfortable with great amenities, although the door to the toilet would not properly close and, although we made guest relations aware, they seemed unable to address it. (It wasn’t all that important, so we didn’t mention it again.) But other than that, the balcony river views were terrific, the room spacious, and the bed very comfortable. We enjoyed a night at the bar with a blues band and great port. We thought dinner at the bistro was just fine, but not great. The food was by and large pretty bland, although the dessert was quite good. Pro tip: you don’t have to walk down the narrow road to get to town. Ask the front desk to point you to the emergency exit where the stone staircase leads out the back into town. It drops you right by a food hall that’s behind the main waterfront street and it’s well worth visiting!"

"Very good all round experience "

"Overall good. Only issue is that we visited property in late March and Air Conditioning shut off for the Spring. Temperature of room was 80F and there was no way to cool the room. We tried opening windows but was ineffective. Staff very polite and downstairs lounge has well stocked bar. Every day there is a Happy Hour special."

"The Yeatman Hotel is spectacular. The views of Porto and the Douro River are breathtaking, the service is exceptional, and the wine experience is outstanding. Truly one of the best hotel stays we have had"
