The hotel is only 15 minutes from the airport by Uber or by bus (line 100, 5min walk from the hotel, runs 24h; that bus also gets you to downtown in the other direction). The staff was very helpful with restaurant, train, metro, and postal information as well as managing bike storage so I did not have to wait on-site for a bike rental company. Context: We used this as a very short one-night stay moving through Bucharest on our way to Transylvania. It was in the June 2026 heat wave. Location: We took the train from the airport to Gara Nord, then walked with our luggage in Gara Nord to the metro stop, then took the yellow line out to Mihai Bravu and walked 7-10 minutes to the hotel. Spacious and quiet place. The bed is great and the comfy balcony with a vista of the eclectic neighborhood is great for sunny breakfasts! You can glimpse the Intercontinental Hotel from the little window of the well-equipped kitchen (in need of a little paint retouch). The living could be livelier with more decoration (a rug?) other than plastic flowers. Overall very nice for the price; close both to the city axis (Magheru Blvd) and quainter streets in the historic Sector 2.
