"Rose Tree Cottage is a lovely house with a beautiful garden. However, it is at the outskirts of the town, and although it is "within walking distance" of the pub, it is a walk along a very busy road. We missed out on the experience of being in one of the cute little Cotswold towns, which is what we had been hoping for. There was some awkwardness with the owners as well. They accused us of messing with the radiators (which we didn't do) and leaving the interior doors open (which we did, but which we were given no previous instructions to avoid). Incidentally, it was only because they came into the house when we were out that they knew the interior doors were open. They came into the house on more than one occasion both when we were there and when we were out, which made us uncomfortable."

"We absolutely loved our stay at The Pool House - what more could you ask for than a hot tub and pool in perfect privacy in the sunshine! The house was spacious and well furnished with a well sized kitchen, lounge and main bedroom. The only downside was the rather small double bed."

"The pros: very clean bed and comfy. Breakfast was decent although a bit greasy. Cons: Our room was very small and in dire need of a deep clean and refurbishment. The walls, carpet and woodwork were dirty, tired and scuffed. We couldn't use the shower because of the foul smells coming from the bath when we ran the water. I'm glad we were only booked in for one night and will definitely look for another place to stay if we return to Stroud "

"The road outside is a little noisy but the bed is incredibly comfortable. Kitchen facilities are excellent and room has WiFi and Sky TV (although the TV can't be easily seen from the bed). Shower was good - certainly hot enough, and toiletries provided were a nice touch. "

"Lovely little cottage great for a short break. We were 2 couples and it suited us just fine had everything we needed. Situated in a narrow street, no problem finding on street parking and we had 2 cars. Stroud is a lovely place with a great farmers market on Saturday which was only a short from the cottage. "
