"We had a lovely stay at Bolthole Cottage. It was warm, clean, comfortable and beautifully presented, with modern appliances that made everything easy while still keeping all the character and charm of a historic building. The stairs are incredibly steep, but for us that added to the fun and character of the place rather than taking anything away. The outside area was also a real highlight, with lovely seating and beautiful views across the hills. There were lots of thoughtful touches too, including snacks on arrival, which made us feel very welcome, and the gorgeous-smelling posh liquid soaps. Overall, it really felt like we were staying somewhere premium. The local area was lovely to explore, with Stroud centre nearby — though it is worth noting it is at the bottom of a very big hill! A charming, comfortable and memorable place to stay."
